Dr. Klein also denied giving Jackson dangerous drugs or being on the list of doctors the LAPD is investigating. Klein is also sparking controversy after he refused to rule out he may be the biological father of Jackson's children. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Sources tell CNN Michael Jackson's arms were riddled with marks and his veins collapsed, adding even more questions about the role drugs may have played in the music superstar's unexpected death. According to a source, the track marks found on Jackson's arms are consistent with regular IV drug use. Numerous prescription drugs were found in Jackson's Holmby Hills home, reportedly including the powerful sedative, Diprivan. Toxicology results, the county coroner says are necessary to confirm cause of death, aren't expected for at least another week. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

It's the same drug, a nurse who claims she worked with Jackson, says the music star begged for to battle insomnia. The "mini-clinic" consisted of an IV pole and an anesthesiologist who medicated the music superstar, who allegedly battled insomnia. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

The hearing, which will decide if Katherine Jackson can remain the children's temporary guardian, is now set for July 13. Will Debbie Rowe and/or her lawyer show up in court to seek custody of 2 of Jackson's children? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

6:45 PM ET - Debbie Rowe's lawyer announces she has not made a final decision on seeking custody of 2 of Michael Jackson's children. But the lawyer did say a local report (KNBC), where Rowe revealed she would go for custody, is accurate. In other words, it's still unclear whether Rowe is going for custody or not. What we do know for sure is Michael Jackson's 2002 will explicitly cuts Debbie Rowe out. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

(From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1 PM ET - Was Michael Jackson trying desperately to get his hands on a powerful sedative to battle insomnia before his death? A nutritionist and nurse practitioner who claims she worked with Jackson prior to his death, says the music star begged her for Diprivan to induce sleep but she refused. Cherilyn Lee also claims 4 days before Jackson's death she received a frantic call the singer was in trouble and suggested he go to the hospital. Jackson allegedly never followed her advice, going into cardiac arrest at his Holmby Hills, California home. In response to the nurse's account, Jackson family attorney, Londell McMillan, says he doesn't understand why someone would comment on a particular drug they haven't given Michael Jackson directly or seen the music star take. 6:15 PM ET - As thousands of fans gather at Harlem's Apollo Theater to pay tribute to the King of Pop, some fans who bought tickets for Michael Jackson's farewell concerts in London are not celebrating the promoter's suggestion on what to do with their concert tickets. AEG is encouraging fans to keep their tickets as memorabilia rather than asking for a full refund. The ticket was inspired and designed by Michael Jackson and is now being touted as a "commemorative ticket". But many fans who paid between 50 and 75 pounds for the London shows are calling it a desperate attempt by AEG to keep money in their pockets. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5:30 PM ET - Not only has a Michael Jackson will surfaced, but it appears the document will be filed in court. Jackson family attorney, L. Londell McMillan, says the family is aware of the will. But the question now is how does this will affect court papers filed by Katherine Jackson to control her late son's empire? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1:45 PM ET - CNN confirms a Michael Jackson will has surfaced. Jackson family attorney, L. Londell McMillan, says he has seen a 2002 will that names certain people as executors of Michael Jackson's estate. McMillan says the will came up after Katherine Jackson's court filings and could be one of many Michael Jackson wills. All wills would have to be probated. Reports are two of the executors of the 2002 will are one of Michael Jackson's lawyers and a music executive. Meantime, Katherine Jackson named temporary administrator of Michael Jackson's property to prevent third parties from looting her son's personal property. McMillan confirms the Jackson family is gathering up all of the late music icon's property to make sure it's secure. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

6 PM ET - There's some activity at the Holmby Hills, California home where Michael Jackson was living. Officials from the LAPD and Coroner's office have been spotted on the scene. Meantime, at a news conference today outside of the Jackson family's Los Angeles home, Joe Jackson said there are no immediate plans for a funeral as the family still has unanswered questions about Michael Jackson's death, awaiting results from a second autopsy. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3:30 PM ET - More court action from Michael Jackson's parents in the wake of the music superstar's death. Katherine and Joe Jackson have filed a petition to control their late son's estate. The document says Katherine Jackson wants to ensure Jackson's three children are the beneficiaries. With all these court petitions emerging, the big question now is did Michael Jackson have a will? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - As questions swirl about what will happen to Michael Jackson's 3 children, a Los Angeles judge approves Katherine Jackson's request for temporary guardianship. Katherine Jackson's petition argued the children should be in her care because "the minors have no relationship with their biological mother" and are "currently residing with paternal grandmother." So far, there has been no confirmation on record that the biological mother of two of the children, Debbie Rowe, will fight for custody. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

7 PM ET - It could be awhile until we learn exactly what happened to King of Pop Michael Jackson. The LA County Corner says Jackson's cause of death has not been determined. More tests, including toxicology, neuropathology and pulmonary have been ordered and will take 4 to 6 weeks to complete. A 3 hour autopsy determined there were no signs of foul play or trauma to the body. The coroner does confirm Jackson was taking prescription medications, but did not identify them. Reports are Jackson was taking anti-anxiety meds and painkiller Demerol. Michael Jackson's body is ready to be released to family as soon as they select a mortuary. Meantime, LAPD just held a news conference and announced they have set up a more extensive 2nd interview with Jackson's personal doctor, with the pop star when he went into cardiac arrest. But cops did not reveal the date or time of the upcoming interview. We hear people trying desperately to save Michael Jackson in a stunning 911 call. An unidentified man confirms Jackson's doctor was the only one on scene when the music superstar collapsed at his Holmby Hills, California home. The 911 call reveals despite the doctor's efforts administering CPR before paramedics arrived on the scene, Jackson remained unresponsive. Tune in to tonight's show, to hear the 911 call. 5 PM ET - The murder trial for Caylee Anthony hasn't even started yet and already there's reports of a new book. A Texas author has penned "Mommy's little girl" about the murder case and according to the Orlando Sentinel, the book, not even on bookstore shelves yet, is creating quite the outrage. People are apparently angry about the title, the timing and complain the author is profiting from the horrific tragedy. The author claims the Anthonys are not profiting from the book. 3 PM ET - The owner of the tattoo shop where Casey Anthony got inked just weeks after Caylee went missing says she spoke briefly about her little girl when she came to the Cast Iron tattoo shop. But in a primetime exclusive on our show, owner, Danny Knight, said tot mom explained Caylee was with her nanny. Anthony set up an appointment to get another tattoo, promising to bring little Caylee with her, but that never materialized because tot mom ended up behind bars. Prosecutors want to take photos of that "Bella Vita" tattoo on Anthony's shoulder, presumably as evidence. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

6 PM ET - The State wants Casey Anthony to go on trial for check fraud charges before she faces a jury on murder one. Prosecutors filed a motion requesting that a trial date be set within the next 2 months. Will the State play in court the surveillance video of tot mom's shopping spree as she racks up clothes, beer, groceries and lingerie for herself? All of it allegedly using her so-called friend Amy Huizenga's checking account while Huizenga vacationed in Puerto Rico.(From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3 PM ET - Casey Anthony's tattoos will apparently come into evidence at her upcoming murder trial. The State filed a motion requesting to take photos of a tattoo on tot mom's shoulder. Just weeks after her daughter, Caylee, went missing, an artist at local Cast Iron Tattoo shop says Anthony came in for a new tattoo, "Bella Vida", the beautiful life. On a visit to Cast Iron Tattoo shop last year, artists there told us they turned over that sketch of Anthony's new tattoo to cops. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4 PM ET - We know Oak Ridge Lab in Tennessee conducted "pizza" decomposition testing in the Caylee Anthony murder case. But newly released autopsy and forensic reports, also confirm Oak Ridge performed decomposition testing of a squirrel. You may remember tot mom Casey Anthony told friends and family she ran over a squirrel, possibly to explain the rancid smell in her car. But air samples confirmed it was the smell of human decomposition. Both decomposition tests, the pizza and squirrel, shoot down the Anthonys' explanation for the smell in tot mom's car. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - Caylee Anthony's autopsy report confirms the little girl's remains were so skeletonized, cause of death could not be determined. No trauma was evident to the skeleton, but the report does confirm duct tape was placed over the lower face and still attached to head hair. The tape was placed over Caylee's mouth prior to decomposition. According to the autopsy, all indications are the body was dumped in the heavily wooded area near the Anthony home right after Caylee's death. At one point, grandmother Cindy Anthony said someone may have placed the body there after Casey Anthony was in jail. The autopsy report clearly debunking that theory. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Noon ET - Caylee Anthony's autopsy report released. An Orange County judge denied a motion by grandparents George and Cindy Anthony to restrict the release of the report, which they believe will be exploited and cause more anguish. The report is public record now. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday, June 18, 2009

1 PM ET - We may learn as early as tomorrow whether Judge Stan Strickland will allow the public release of Caylee Anthony's autopsy report. A hearing has been scheduled for 11 am on George and Cindy Anthony's motion to restrict disclosure of the report until it is necessary for prosecutors to introduce it as evidence in court. The autopsy had been expected in the batch of discovery documents released last week but Judge Strickland issued a temporary stay until he could hear arguments on the issue. The Anthonys' motion claims that releasing the report would "cause great anguish" for them and that the "endless comment and speculation" on its findings in the media would make their struggle with grief over their granddaughter's death even more difficult than it has been. The Orlando Sentinel, one of the media organizations seeking the release of the document, plans to have an attorney present tomorrow. Casey Anthony, however, will not be transported from jail to attend the hearing according to a court administrator. (From Stephen Loiaconi, Nancy Grace Producer)

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

3 PM ET - It looks like the public may have to wait until Casey Anthony's trial to see a jail videotape of her reaction to learning a child's remains had been found near her house, if we ever get to see it at all. In his order today sealing the tape, Judge Stan Strickland acknowledged that given the pretrial publicity in the case, it is not unreasonable to fear that potential jurors could see the video and "develop a 'hardened' attitude in reference to the defendant's guilt." Strickland also said that media coverage of the video's release would "most assuredly" be shown throughout Florida, tainting any jury pool in the state, regardless of whether he grants the defense's pending motion for a change of venue. He added that it is still possible the tape will not even be shown to the jury at trial. He then concluded that "it does not seem too great a restraint to limit access to the video in question" and ordered that it not be released to the media and the general public until further order of the court. Tuesday, June 16, 2009

6:00 PM ET - Another day, another objection to Jose Baez's attempts to obtain phone records from potential witnesses in the case. An attorney for Anthony Lazzaro filed a motion Friday to quash the subpoena Baez is seeking for his client's records, arguing that it would be an invasion of his privacy to turn over information covering the broad timeframe Baez has requested. Also filed on Friday was a defense motion indicating that Casey Anthony's attorneys want to depose five more Orange County Jail employees. Prosecutors, meanwhile, objected to defense efforts to further delay a ruling on the release of the jail videotape of Casey Anthony's reaction to the discovery of a child's remains. Despite the defense claims that the delay is necessary to accommodate new defense team member Andrea Lyon, the state's motion suggests the real purpose is to deflect attention from the evidence against his client with more "unsubstantiated and irrelevant propaganda" and "endless histrionics" about government misconduct. Instead of allowing the "circus-like atmosphere" of a hearing, they want the judge to rule based on the pleadings already filed on the issue. (From Stephen Loiaconi, Nancy Grace Producer)

5:00 PM ET - On the anniversary of the last time Caylee Anthony's grandparents saw her alive, George and Cindy Anthony were speaking out on CBS's "The Early Show" this morning. After acknowledging that this is a tough day for them, the interview focused mainly on their efforts to create something positive from their grief through the Caylee Marie Anthony Foundation. Cindy Anthony explained that the purpose of the organization will be to provide support to families of missing children and help keep their cases in the national media. When asked about comments by Ronald Cummings, the father of still-missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings, that he didn't want their help, Cindy said he made a mistake and suggested that she was partly responsible for the national attention that Haleigh's disappearance got because she called reporters and urged them to cover the case. (From Stephen Loiaconi, Nancy Grace Producer)

3:30 PM ET - While George and Cindy Anthony were talking about their granddaughter on CBS, their attorney Brad Conway appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America" to discuss recent developments in the case. Conway flatly denied a claim made in discovery documents released last week that Cindy told a blogger that she thought Casey Anthony probably did something to Caylee. According to him, Cindy did talk to blogger Sean Krause but some of the comments he attributed to her were sent by someone else from a hacked email account. While Conway acknowledged that he isn't aware of any theory about what happened to Caylee that would rule out Casey Anthony as a suspect, he did suggest that other people may have been involved in the child's death. He didn't elaborate on who those people are or exactly what their involvement might be, though. Conway also expressed disapproval of the decision by defense attorney Jose Baez not to allow Casey Anthony to see her parents due to fear of recordings of those visits being released to the media. Conway said George and Cindy Anthony would like to take any opportunity they can to see their daughter. Also, defense attorney Linda Kenny-Baden was on "The Today Show" on NBC this morning promoting a new book co-written with husband Michael Baden, but she remained cryptic when asked about the Caylee Anthony case. She deflected questions about the significance of the one-year anniversary of Caylee's disappearance, prosecutors' decision to seek the death penalty and when the trial might actually begin, saying all of these issues will be addressed in court. 2:00 PM ET - Tomorrow will mark one year. One year since one Orlando family went through the ultimate tragedy. Tomorrow marks the last day anyone saw Caylee Marie Anthony alive. A year ago today, June 15, 2008, the last known video showing the 2 year old toddler alive, playing with her great grandfather on father's day. That day was also the last day grandmother Cindy Anthony saw her little granddaughter. The next day, George Anthony spotted tot mom as she left with Caylee that afternoon. He was the last person to see Caylee alive besides tot mom Casey Anthony. Prosecutors intend to prove that shortly after that, Casey Anthony murdered her daughter Caylee and left her in a wooded area of suburban drive just yards from her own home. Anthony, now facing the death penalty, has remained in jail since October, and continues to proclaim her innocence from behind bars. (From Matt Zarrell, Nancy Grace Producer)

Friday, June 12, 2009

1:30 PM ET - Hundreds of pages of new evidence were released by the State Attorney's office today in the case against tot mom Casey Anthony. The document include transcripts of grandparents George and Cindy Anthony under oath, employment records for tot mom, and transcripts of police interviews with witnesses. One interview that may raise eyebrows is an interview orange county sheriff's investigators did with tot mom's friend Michelle Murphy. In her interview with cops, Murphy describes a phone conversation she had with tot mom a year before Caylee vanished, where Anthony talked about getting herself committed. Murphy also told investigators details about tot mom's pregnancy after caylee was born, which Anthony claimed ended in a miscarriage. (From Matt Zarrell, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday, June 11, 2009

6 PM ET - Judge Stan Strickland has issued a temporary stay after grandparents George and Cindy Anthony filed a motion to stop the autopsy results from being released as part of discovery. The autopsy results were expected to be released along with hundreds of pages of documents in the case against Casey Anthony. Strickland will allow the media to present their argument as to why the results should be made public, while the Anthonys are hoping to avoid "great anguish" that would come with the details of Caylee's remains being made available to the public. Hundreds of pages of documents are expected to be released in hours and grandparents George and Cindy Anthony are trying to stop some of the info from being released, including the autopsy of little Caylee. In a motion filed today by attorney Brad Conway, the Anthonys want the judge to block the release of the autopsy results, saying that it would cause the family "great anguish". Caylee's death has been ruled a homicide, but medical examiner Dr. Jan garavaglia says it will be impossible to determine how caylee was murdered. The discovery released may also include the toxicology results of testing done on caylee. Previously released documents show evidence of chloroform was found in the car trunk of Casey Anthony's Pontiac Sunfire. (From Matt Zarrell, Nancy Grace Producer)

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

3 PM ET - An Orange County corrections officer testified under oath that tot mom Casey Anthony wanted to watch TV the day Caylee's remains were found in the wooded area not far from her home. Officer Billy Richardson says when he went down to Anthony's jail cell to pick her up and tell her to go to the clinic, Anthony was listening to the radio. Richardson says Anthony replied "Good, because there's something going on and I want to know about it". Jailers taped Anthony's reaction to the news of caylee being found...the Anthony's attorney is trying to stop the tape from being released. (From Matt Zarrell, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

9 PM ET - The tot mom's defense team has just filed a motion asking the judge to delay deciding whether or not to release the video taken of the tot mom the day caylee's remains were discovered. Baez wants the decision delayed to give the defense team's newest attorney, Andrea Lyon, more time to become familiar with the case. The defense claims they intend to show that the tape is part of a larger issue: that the state intends to create a presumption of guilt and hurt the potential jury pool by leaking information to the public. The defense also argues that releasing the tape would violate Anthony's rights to keep her medical records private. (From Matt Zarrell, Nancy Grace Producer)

Monday, June 8, 2009

3 PM ET - The new death penalty attorney for tot mom's defense team, Andrea Lyon, has filed paperwork seeking permission to officially enter the case. Lyon will reportedly be asked to try and prove the evidence against Casey Anthony does not warrant the state seeking the death penalty. The defense has filed amended motions regarding cell phone records for meter reader Roy Kronk, Anthony's former fiancé Jesse Grund, and Anthony's former friend Amy Huizenga. The new motions, at the judge's request, have more clearly specified the timeframe of phone records the defense is seeking. Meanwhile, Casey Anthony's attorney is trying to get the defamation lawsuit filed against her by Zenaida Gonzalez delayed, saying Anthony cannot defend herself in the lawsuit with the possibility of the death penalty looming with the murder trial. This time Linda Kenney-Baden appears on the Today show, saying local media coverage and leaks are the reason they will ask for Casey Anthony's trial to be moved out of Orlando. Kenney-Baden also says they are exploring different theories as to why the State is seeking the death penalty, including to get a better jury pool and as a way to remove some of the defense lawyers who are unqualified to be lead counsel on a DP case. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1 PM ET - Casey Anthony's lawyers confirm they will finally file a motion for a change of venue today. Defense attorney Jose Baez is scheduled to make a statement at the courthouse shortly. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5 PM ET - New police interviews inside tot mom's murder case reveal a deputy who investigated a meter reader's tips lied about what he found at the scene just months before police recover Caylee's remains. Did it slow investigators down in the search for Caylee?(From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - Just revealed in hundreds of new documents from prosecutors, we learn investigators attempt to link 3 key locations in the Caylee Anthony murder case...tot mom's car, the Anthony home and the woods where Caylee's remains discovered. Cain joins meter reader Roy Kronk and tot mom's friend Amy Huizenga in their fight against turning over their phone records. Ironically, it's Kronk's tips that ultimately lead to Cain's firing. Cain is now appealing his termination. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - Is "ugly coping" how Casey Anthony's lawyers will explain her wild partying and shopping spree after Caylee goes missing? No doubt those photos of tot mom out on the town, dancing and posing for the cameras, will come into trial, as well as surveillance video of her buying beer, clothes, sportswear and lingerie allegedly using her best friend's checks. A Columbia University behaviorist came up with "ugly coping" to describe people who indulge in strange behaviors as a way of grieving. It's the same phrase used by lawyers during the trial of a military widow convicted of poisoning her Marine husband for insurance money. The widow would eventually be released from jail after evidence proved her husband was not poisoned. Defense attorney Jose Baez talked about that case during a recent interview. Is Baez planning to use a similar defense at trial? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

5:30 PM ET - Do Casey Anthony's lawyers have an explanation for those disturbing photos of tot mom partying after Caylee goes missing, her shopping sprees allegedly using her friend's checking account and the chloroform found in tot mom's car? Reports are Jose Baez is comparing tot mom to a military widow accused of poisoning her Marine husband then going out on sex and shopping sprees using her dead husband's insurance money. The widow, Cynthia Sommer, would go on to be released from jail after it's determined her husband was not poisoned after all. Does Baez plan to use the Sommer's case as an example of how someone's erratic behavior after the death of a loved one does not prove they committed murder? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1:30 PM ET - Taxpayers are still shelling out money and will continue to do so in the Caylee Anthony murder case. This time, tax dollars are funding a lawyer for the utility meter reader who discovered Caylee's remains. Already costing $10,000, Roy Kronk reportedly needs more even more money to get ready for the murder case. Monday, April 27, 2009

6 PM ET - All indications are it's going to be the battle of forensics at tot mom's murder trial. The defense reveals it will attack the state's evidence, saying it amounts to nothing more than junk science. Tot mom's lawyers speaking out, saying they don't believe prosecutors' forensic evidence in the case is "ready for primetime" and has not been fully accepted by the scientific community. One thing that's interesting to note is that Jose Baez mentions a previous article by notable forensic anthropologist and Oak Ridge scientist, Dr. Arpad Vass, that says smell of death is like a rotten potato. We know at one time Cindy Anthony blamed the smell in tot mom's car to a rotting pizza. Does the defense plan on using Dr. Vass' rotten potato comparison to back up that claim? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3 PM ET - More from Casey Anthony's lawyer, speaking out for the first time since the State announces it will seek the death penalty. Jose Baez insists tot mom will not be intimidated into taking a plea deal. As far as the smell of death and evidence showing human decomposition in tot mom's trunk, the defense says renowned Oak Ridge lab's finding is a presumptive result and not conclusive and uses science not fully accepted by the scientific community. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Friday, April 24, 2009

3 PM ET - Zenaida Gonzalez' attorneys file a court motion to force Cindy Anthony to answer questions under oath. Zenaida Gonzalez' attorneys also want the courts to force grandfather George Anthony to answer all the questions under oath.

2 PM ET - Casey Anthony's defense lawyers plan to attack forensic evidence at the murder trial. Jose Baez took to the airwaves revealing some of the defense's strategy. Baez says they will go after hair samples found in tot mom's car trunk. State evidence reveals human decomposition in that trunk, but the defense says their own high-profile expert found 17 hairs showing no signs of a decomposing body. But how does the defense plan to attack the cadaver dog that hit on tot mom's car and air samples also showing evidence of decomposition? So far the defense is chalking that up to "junk science". Tot mom's lawyers still have not explained their defense for the so-called nanny who allegedly kidnapped Caylee, a nanny police say does not exist, and why Casey Anthony goes a month without reporting her little girl missing or even telling family and friends.(From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

NOON ET - For the first time since prosecutors confirm they will seek the death penalty against tot mom Casey Anthony, her lawyer Jose Baez breaks his silence. And we get a glimpse into the defense's strategy for trial. Baez says there's no cause of death, no witnesses to the murder, and no way to directly tie Casey Anthony to Caylee's remains. Tot mom's lawyer says the State must prove she was able to dump Caylee's body in that heavily wooded area before going to jail and then the body remained in the same woods for close to 6 months.

Thursday, April 23, 2009

4 PM ET - Her parents' latest round of TV interviews is not curbing tot mom's appetite one bit. Casey Anthony ordering up snacks, water, BBQ chips, Cajun mix and food for a Mexican feast, including chicken, jalapeno nacho chips and flour tortillas...all to enjoy in her private jail cell. Strangers from across the country skipping out on this round of contributing to Casey's jail account. No new deposits for tot mom. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - As Part 2 of their interview with CBS hits the airwaves, George and Cindy Anthony removed as keynote speakers at a major crime victims conference. The Anthonys were set to speak on May 13 in Connecticut, but now their names are missing from the line-up on the Melanie Ilene Rieger's memorial conference website. Reports of a backlash by some victims advocates who say they do not want the Anthonys helping the families of murdered or missing people and are also angry with the Anthonys for making repeated TV appearances. The Anthonys say they will stand by tot mom no matter what she may have done.

Cindy Anthony reveals writing multiple suicide notes but stopping herself from going through with it because of daughter Casey. The bombshell in Part 2 of the Anthonys' interview set to air tomorrow morning. Other highlights from Part 2, include Cindy Anthony saying she would still like private time with tot mom in jail and has no regrets making the 911 calls leading to her daughter's arrest. But the Anthonys keep mum about what they think happened to Caylee. Jail officials say the Anthonys are free to visit their daughter anytime but there will be no special treatment, in other words, the jail visit will be recorded and there's no guarantee it will not be released. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2:30 PM ET - George and Cindy Anthony's decision to appear on CBS cost them a chance to sit down with the queen of daytime talk and tell their side of the story to Oprah. But the Anthonys did show up bright and early this morning for an interview with "The Early Show". The interview is a far cry from the angry confrontation the Anthonys have with Zenaida Gonzalez' lawyers while they testify under oath. As far as the death penalty goes, George and Cindy Anthony say daughter Casey should not accept a plea deal. They say Casey Anthony loved Caylee and would not do anything to hurt her, so tot mom should not admit to something she hasn't done. Cindy Anthony still maintains she had no idea something was wrong the month that Caylee was missing and there were no red flags until she made those frantic 911 calls. George Anthony also opened up about his suicide attempt, admitting he was at a breaking point but now knows it was the wrong direction to take.

2 PM ET - We've just learned Casey Anthony's next court appearance has been delayed. A hearing set for May 7 on a defense motion to stop jailhouse videotapes of tot mom from going public has been postponed. Casey Anthony's lawyers don't want us to see her reaction to live TV coverage of the discovery of Caylee's remains. According to a female corrections officer, tot mom hyperventilating, collapsing into a chair and asking for a sedative. Arguments on that jailhouse video will now go down on May 28 at 10am.

(From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4 PM ET - George and Cindy Anthony schedule yet another public appearance after refusing to answer substantial questions under oath. According to CBS, the Anthonys will discuss the investigation, the timeline leading to Casey Anthony's arrest and the State's decision to seek the death penalty. Gonzalez' lawyers want to prove Caylee's grandparents contradicted themselves during their depositions caught on videotape. The Anthonys combative and refusing to answer some of the lawyers' questions under oath, but not hesitating to make another appearance on national TV to talk about daughter Casey and granddaughter Caylee.

7 PM ET - Reports emerge the plot of land where Caylee's remains were hidden, will no longer go to the highest bidder. For Sale signs have been taken down around the heavily wooded area where Caylee's body was discovered, just yards from the Anthony home. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

6 PM ET - Here are some highlights of the contradictions lawyers for Zenaida Gonzalez will pinpoint from George and Cindy Anthony's depositions several days ago. Under oath, George Anthony says he knew nothing about daughter Casey stealing money but during his FBI interview he said tot mom stole money from little Caylee's own piggy bank. Also grandfather George apparently contradicts himself concerning his knowledge of tot mom's employment. On videotape, Cindy Anthony says Caylee talked about Zanny the nanny's dog, but George Anthony told FBI Caylee never mentioned a Zanny and did not show any reaction to the mention of Zanny's name.

4 PM ET - With George and Cindy Anthony set to hit the national airwaves again, this time on Oprah, lawyers for Zenaida Gonzalez say they want to force the talk show queen to ask the Anthonys tough questions. At issue, the Anthonys' refusal to answer some of the questions under oath at their recent videotaped depositions. Gonzalez' lawyers say they can prove on videotape the Anthonys contradicted their previous sworn testimony and are confused as to why the Anthonys refused to answer sensitive questions under oath, but are willing to talk about the heartbreaking ordeal on national TV.(From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3 PM ET - Will taxpayers end up having to foot the bill for tot mom's defense? With a string of high-profile, expensive experts and lawyers, the big question remains, how is Casey Anthony paying for it all? Tot mom's lawyers can ask the state for help to fund their defense, but in order to do so they would have to reveal how they're currently being paid and sign a contract agreeing to Florida's Justice Administrative Commission's guidelines. And the court would have to declare Casey Anthony broke. Until now, tot mom's attorneys have refused to disclose how she is bankrolling her long list of experts and lawyers, but reports are Casey Anthony may have sold personal pictures and home video rights.

2:30 PM ET - The number of defense experts just keeps on growing. California attorney Todd Macaluso granted admission to practice in Florida by Judge Stan Strickland, but there's one minor exception...Macaluso must pay his filing fee with the Florida Bar first.

Tune in tonight for new audiotapes of police interviews of Casey Anthony's grandmother, uncle and former friend. All reveal tot mom's history of stealing and her web of lies. Plus new calendars and timelines from inside police investigative files show detectives were tracking tot mom's social life to pin down her whereabouts in the days before and after Caylee's disappearance.

1:45 PM ET - George and Cindy Anthony's private investigator is back in the spotlight after reports he files a complaint with the Florida Bar against Casey Anthony's lawyer. In that complaint, Dominic Casey allegedly says Jose Baez told him not to call 911 if he found Caylee's body. Casey searched woods near the Anthony home several times, once caught on video digging around the very spot investigators eventually recover Caylee's remains. The Anthonys and tot mom's lawyer say they have not paid a dime to the private investigator for his services. Meanwhile, attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez have asked a judge to hold Dominic Casey in contempt after he refuses to answer questions under oath. In fact, Casey didn't show up at all.

6:30 PM ET - For the first time since prosecutors announced they will seek the death penalty against tot mom Casey Anthony, we finally hear something from grandparents George and Cindy Anthony. The Anthonys' lawyer says the state's intention to seek the death penalty will not change the Anthonys' support and love for their daughter Casey Anthony. Meantime reports are brother Lee Anthony's lawyer says he is in shock the State is going for the death penalty.

4 PM ET - Buried deep in secret police investigative files are documents of Casey Anthony's sleep patterns, cell tower maps the day tot mom abandons her car at a local check cashing shop and another map of key cell phone tower locations. The maps and sleeping grid all an effort by detectives to track Casey Anthony's whereabouts in the days after little Caylee goes missing. The sleep patterns derived from Casey Anthony's cell phone activity between June 13 and July 15, 2008. Besides the very afternoon Caylee goes missing, investigators also zero in on June 27, the day tot mom dumps her car off at Amscot. A June 27 map shows tot mom's travels around 11am, the day she tells ex-boyfriend Tony Lazzaro she runs out of gas and needs a ride. Another detailed map shows several key locations in the days after Caylee's disappearance, including a local landfill, the apartments tot mom claims she last saw Caylee, the homes of ex-lovers and friends and the Anthony home. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - Will Casey Anthony's cell phone records help build a murder case against her? It could all boil down to a rash of phone calls and text messages by the tot mom in the very first month after Caylee disappears. During that time, we know tot mom was texting into the wee hours of the night. Using cell phone pings and the times when there was no activity on tot mom's phone, detectives attempt to follow Casey Anthony's movements in the critical time period from June 16 to July 15. June 16 is the last day Caylee was seen alive and July 15th is the day grandmother Cindy Anthony makes those frantic 911 calls to report little Caylee missing. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

4 PM ET - An Orange County sheriff's deputy and a corrections officer will testify under oath. Casey Anthony's lawyers just filing a notice they will depose both officers May 5, 2009 beginning at 10am. The female corrections officer, with tot mom when she watches live TV coverage of the discovery of Caylee's remains, previously told police tot mom hyperventilates and asks for a sedative that day.

The State beefs up its witness list adding another deputy from the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Kethlin Cutcher. Tune in tonight for more raw video of grandparents George and Cindy Anthony under oath -- video you've never seen before.

2 PM ET - Casey Anthony's lawyers say they are not surprised the State is now going for the death penalty. Tot mom's attorneys say the move is to intimidate Casey Anthony and prosecutors will still not get a plea from her. In her own handwriting, tot mom once claimed in a court motion, the State offered her a plea deal and she turned it down. With Jose Baez unqualified to lead a death penalty case, Baez says prosecutors' intentions to seek the death penalty changes nothing for the defense. At least 3 attorneys on the defense team are reportedly death-penalty qualified. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Monday, April 13, 2009

6:30 PM ET - According to WKMG, defense lawyer Jose Baez's spokesperson has released a statement since the State announces they will seek the death penalty against Casey Anthony. The statement says: "This is not a death penalty case. We will do whatever is necessary to defend Casey Anthony from the State trying to take her life. We already have death-qualified defense lawyers on our team and are prepared for a vigorous defense." But now that this has become a death penalty case, Jose Baez is not qualified to be tot mom's lead defense attorney. Terence Lenamon , a veteran Florida defense attorney who once fought against the death penalty for Casey Anthony, releases this statement to us: "I am greatly disappointed the State Attorney has decided to take this route. I believe this may be a sign there could be a potential weakness in the state's case. The prosecution may want to seek death qualify jurors; death qualified jurors are ones prone to convict. It changes the dynamics of everything."

5:30 PM ET - We've just received the State's notice to the court they will seek the death penalty against Casey Anthony. Prosecutors say since their December filing taking the death penalty off the table, "additional information" now reveals there are "sufficient aggravating circumstances" justifying sending tot mom to Florida's death row. Tot mom's lawyers have been notified and a defense spokesperson will put out a statement shortly. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4:30 PM ET - A bombshell development occurring at this very hour...the State confirms they are seeking the death penalty after all against tot mom Casey Anthony. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - New details are emerging about a former neighbor of tot mom's whose name now appears in the latest defense motion. Keith Williams used to live in Casey Anthony's neighborhood and on a hunch he also went out last August to the heavily wooded area near Anthony's home. Williams went to the crime scene twice, the same month meter reader Roy Kronk called in tips from the same area. Tot mom's former neighbor reportedly says on one of his "searches" he found a bag of suspicious stuffed animals and called in the tip to police. Deputy Richard Cain, just fired for his handling of tips in the case, also responded to Williams call, but nothing came of it. Tot mom's lawyers want access to Williams' cell phone records. Programming note: Keith Williams will join us live tonight.

Friday, April 10, 2009

1:30 PM - ET - Casey Anthony's lawyers file a new motion for multiple cell phone records. The defense wants to take a closer look at the phone records of the utility meter reader who discovered Caylee's remains, 3 of tot mom's ex-lovers, the deputy recently fired for the way he investigated several tips, a former neighbor who previously searched the woods near the Anthony home, tot mom's former friend, 2 of the Anthony family's private investigators, and the phone records of George, Cindy and Lee Anthony. Is the defense building a timeline to set up the theory that someone else placed Caylee's body in the woods? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4 PM ET - The Orange County Sheriff's Office announces the deputy who investigated utility meter reader Roy Kronk's tip back in August has been fired. Kronk would go on to find Caylee's remains just a few months later. The sheriff's office says Richard Cain's response was unsatisfactory and more efforts should have been put forth to exhaust all options in the search of those woods where Caylee's remains were found. The Orange County Sheriff's Office also says Deputy Cain provided false testimony in December of '08 and January of '09. Deputy Cain is appealing.

1:55 PM ET - George and Cindy Anthony's attorney is speaking out following the couple's videotaped testimony. Brad Conway is calling the lawsuit by Zenaida Gonzalez frivolous, because he says no one believes she is the Zenaida involved in Caylee's disappearance. Conway says the whole thing is for Zenaida Gonzalez to get attention. Conway also defending George and Cindy Anthony's demeanor and hostile reaction, saying the depositions put their personal lives on display for the public

Tune in tonight for more raw video of George and Cindy Anthony's intense and sometimes combative testimony, under oath and caught on tape.

Thursday, April 9, 2009

6:30 PM ET - Under oath today, grandmother Cindy Anthony says she had contact number and addresses for "Zanny the nanny" but never once tried to call Caylee's so-called babysitter. She also claims little Caylee talked about Zanny's dog, calling it "the new puppy" and describing it as a little white dog. Cindy Anthony says she did not believe Caylee was missing before she made those 911 calls July 15th. But on those frantic calls we hear Cindy Anthony say she has not seen little Caylee since early June. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5 PM ET - Once again, George Anthony confirms the smell of death in daughter Casey Anthony's car as part of his testimony under oath. But Anthony doesn't seem to know who their private investigator was talking to on the phone the day he digs around the woods where Caylee's remains are eventually found or what led Dominic Casey to that spot. George Anthony also shoots down reports of a physical confrontation between wife Cindy and daughter Casey. We've just received the transcript from Cindy Anthony's deposition and are sorting through it now.

Cindy Anthony is finished giving her testimony and has left with husband George. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4 PM ET - George Anthony starts off his deposition uncooperative and combative as Zenaida Gonzalez' attorneys grill him on the hot seat. The sparks begin to fly when Anthony is asked if daughter Casey contributed to the household. George Anthony blows up refusing to give details about what tot mom purchased for the home. As far as Zenaida Gonzalez the nanny, George Anthony says he never heard the name Zenaida Gonzalez until last summer, but did hear of a "Zanny" within the year prior to Caylee's disappearance. Under oath, George Anthony says he did believe there was a babysitter named Zanny taking care of Caylee. His testimony also reveals Casey Anthony never mentioned where "Zanny" lived or anything about Sawgrass Apartments, the complex where tot mom claims she last saw Caylee Anthony. We know of another story from tot mom surrounding the alleged "kidnapping" of Caylee. Casey Anthony also said Zenaida Gonzalez took off with Caylee from local Jay Blanchard Park. But here's a shocker: George Anthony reveals today he never heard of this theory until he was asked about it at today's deposition! (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3 PM ET - As we comb through George Anthony's deposition, the State announces a lawsuit against the maker of the Caylee doll. Florida's attorney general is suing Showbiz Promotions alleging the company is misrepresenting where the money from sales of the $79 doll are going. The company claims proceeds are going to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. But the state alleges the organization has yet to receive any substantial funds. Check back soon for details from George and Cindy Anthony's depositions.

2:30 PM ET - Cindy Anthony is now testifying under oath. And just released! We've now got our hands on the transcript from George Anthony's deposition. We'll bring you details on what he had to say momentarily.

1:30 PM ET - George Anthony's deposition has been suspended -- for now. He's objecting to answering some of the questions, so now a hearing will have to take place to force Anthony to do so. Some of the questions he did not want to answer were whether his wife, Cindy Anthony, sent someone to check the woods near their home back in November, whether he had concerns about the ladder being moved from the pool in their backyard, and why daughter Casey Anthony would not allow him to see the trunk of her car during a heated confrontation. Lunch is underway now then Cindy Anthony will begin her testimony shortly after. Will Cindy Anthony also refuse to answer some of the questions? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1 PM ET - Caylee's grandparents have started giving testimony under oath, all on videotape. George Anthony is first up and his deposition is taking longer than expected. All indications are Zenaida Gonzalez' lawyers are having a hard time getting George Anthony to answer questions. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

6:30 PM ET - Reports swirling the Florida Bar is investigating 2 new complaints against Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez and one of them is reportedly from Judge Stan Strickland, who's overseeing tot mom's murder case. While the Florida Bar tells us they have no complaints from Strickland, sources confirm the judge did file a complaint regarding the Anthonys private investigator Dominic Casey. Dominic Casey caught on video digging around the same woods just weeks before Caylee's remains are found. Jose Baez reportedly told Casey not to call the authorities if he found Caylee. Baez's spokesperson says "Mr. Baez has done nothing unethical throughout his representation of Casey Anthony. He and his counsel will respond at the appropriate time to refute any and all of these untrue allegations". (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

6 PM ET - The clock is ticking down as grandparents George and Cindy Anthony set to give testimony under oath...all set to be captured on video. All indications are the videotapes will be released shortly after the Anthonys testify. George Anthony is set to go first at about 10:30 in the morning, while Cindy Anthony will testify at around 1:30pm. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5 PM ET - New audiotape emerging from a female jail officer with tot mom the day she watches live TV coverage of the discovery of Caylee's remains. The state erroneously releasing the tape as part of a stack of investigative police files, all while the defense fights to keep the videotape of Casey Anthony's reaction a secret. Corrections officer Tammy Uncer reveals tot mom hyperventilating, collapsing into a chair, her palms clammy and sweaty, then asking for a sedative. Uncer says there were no tears from tot mom until she met up with her attorney Jose Baez. Casey Anthony allegedly said she would not break down and cry, in disbelief at what was unfolding in front of her eyes. Uncer says Casey Anthony eventually gets that sedative to calm down. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1:30 PM ET - For the first time since the release of the FBI's audio taped interview of tot mom's ex-fiance Jesse Grund, his father Richard Grund will speak out on our show exclusively tonight. At one time or another Casey Anthony, Lee Anthony and Cindy Anthony have all pointed the finger at Jesse Grund and tonight we will hear Richard Grund's reaction to these accusations. One of them allegedly being that Jesse Grund killed Caylee by drowning her in the Anthonys' pool. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

7 PM ET - Is defense attorney Jose Baez back under investigation? Reports the Florida Bar is looking into new complaints about Baez that he allegedly told the Anthonys' PI if he found Caylee's remains not to call 911. Private investigator Dominic Casey was caught on video digging through the woods just weeks before Caylee's remains are found there. Baez' spokesperson has just released this statement: "Mr. Baez has done nothing unethical throughout his representation of Casey Anthony. He and his counsel will respond at the appropriate time to refute any and all of these untrue allegations." .(From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

6 PM ET - Casey Anthony's grandmother and her uncle confirm to cops on audiotapes the tot mom's web of lies. According to Shirley Plesea, Casey's grandmother, tot mom repeatedly stole money from her, even using a stolen check to pay for Caylee's 2nd Mexican-style birthday party. While Casey Anthony's uncle, Rick Plesea, says a day before his wedding back in 2005 Casey Anthony shows up with her stomach protruding clearly indicating she's pregnant. But when he confronts Cindy and George Anthony about it, they say Casey Anthony convinced them she was not pregnant. Rick Plesea also says Casey Anthony nearly bankrupted her parents running up a ton of bills.

3:30 PM ET - Did Cindy and Casey Anthony nearly come to blows over Caylee's disappearance? Tot mom's ex-lover Jesse Grund tells cops Lee Anthony confided in him that when Cindy Anthony confronted daughter Casey about Caylee's whereabouts, mother and daughter got into a heated argument. The argument apparently turned physical and Cindy Anthony started choking Casey Anthony. Also during Jesse Grund's interview with cops, caught on tape, Grund reveals George Anthony advised him to stay away from Casey Anthony because she has problems and needs help. More specifically according to Grund, George Anthony said daughter Casey is not a good person and is not in a good place.

3 PM ET - A secret voicemail by tot mom's brother Lee Anthony surfaces among stacks of new investigative files from inside the Caylee Anthony murder case. On the way to one of his sister's bond hearings last summer, Lee Anthony leaves a long-winded voicemail for detectives. Lee Anthony gives cops a heads up that tot mom's attorney, Jose Baez, will push to get Casey Anthony bond because they believe if she is out of jail she will talk. But Lee Anthony goes on to admit he does not believe 100% that the family can get through to his sister Casey. And of course we now know whenever Casey Anthony was sprung from jail she did not fully cooperate. Tune in tonight, to hear Lee Anthony's voicemail along with more videotapes of Casey Anthony the day she's indicted on murder one. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Monday, April 6, 2009

6 PM ET - Casey Anthony's former lover, Tony Lazarro, goes "undercover" for the cops, talking to tot mom's brother Lee Anthony about Caylee's disappearance. We see and hear Lee Anthony as he talks about his sister's knack for lying since middle school, the smell he describes as "atrocious" in tot mom's car, and even pointing the finger at her ex Jesse Grund. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5 PM ET - New photos surface as part of new investigative files released by prosecutors in the Caylee Anthony murder case. The pictures include personal photos from the cellphone of Casey Anthony's ex-boyfriend, Tony Lazarro, showing Casey Anthony and little Caylee in happier times. Other photos show evidence in the case, including the gas can found inside the Anthony home with the same duct tape matching that found at the crime scene. Aerials shots show the proximity from the heavily wodded area where Caylee's remains are discovered to the Anthony house. Another photo shows Caylee wearing shorts playing with her mom. Are these the same shorts Caylee was wearing the last time she's seen alive? On a side note, we've just learned the Anthonys' former PI could be forced to answer questions under oath. Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez have filed a motion to get Dominic Casey to give sworn testimony. Casey refusing back in March to answer Gonzalez' lawyers questions on videotape. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3 PM ET - For the first time, we see tot mom Casey Anthony the day she's indicted on murder one charges. After her arrest, Anthony is captured on surveillance video as she sits in interrogation. Tot mom fidgety and playing with her nails as she waits alone for investigators. We also hear audio of tot mom's arrest while on her way to booking. Anthony doesn't appear too worried in the face of murder one charges, feeling carefree enough to chat up detectives and even laugh. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1 PM ET - The state releases brand new discovery in the Caylee Anthony murder case. Never before seen video plus audio emerges, including Anthony's arrest on murder one charges. Tune in to tonight's show to see and listen to the new tapes. Also tonight, we will have an exclusive interview with the private eye who once volunteered his services to help George and Cindy Anthony. As we sift through the documents we will bring you more details right here. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Friday, April 3, 2009

2 PM ET - More witnesses on the hot seat today. Casey Anthony's defense team is questioning two investigators who have been dealing with tips in the case. Also under oath today, a co-worker of Roy Kronk, the utility meter reader who discovered Caylee's remains. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1:20 PM ET - A private eye once helping George and Cindy Anthony breaks his silence. Jim Hoover was the man behind the camera, videotaping another private investigator, Dominic Casey, as Casey digs through the woods just weeks before Caylee's remains are found there. WFTV reporting that Hoover reveals Dominic Casey admitted knowing Caylee was dead and exactly where the toddler girl was buried. But who tipped him off? And did George and Cindy Anthony know too? Jim Hoover was grilled for hours by defense attorneys as part of week-long sworn testimony. The defense is continuing more depositions today. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

NOON ET - It seems tot mom Casey Anthony is not feeling the pinch in these tough economic times. Strangers from across the country keep sending money to Anthony behind bars and she's not hesitating to spend it. Tot mom placing another commissary order to enjoy treats and other goodies in her private cell. Some of the items are ponytail holders, tortilla chips, bottled water, chocolate and pop tarts. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday, April 2, 2009

5 PM ET - George and Cindy Anthony still want a private jail house meeting with daughter Casey Anthony. With virtually every one of their jail meetings released so far, the Anthonys' attorney reportedly says at the very least if they were to visit tot mom they do not want the surveillance video released. It's been months since George, Cindy or Lee Anthony have visited Casey Anthony behind jail house walls. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4 PM ET - Will tot mom's defense ask jail officers about that handwritten note from Casey Anthony asking for a secret jail meeting with her dad, George Anthony? Tot mom's lawyers deposing 3 jail officers today. Two of them reportedly with tot mom the day she watches live TV coverage of the discovery of Caylee's remains. The third jailer is reportedly the one who passed that handwritten note from Casey Anthony onto jail officials. A spokesperson for Orange County Corrections Department confirms the note was passed to correctional staff, was sealed and never read at the jail. The letter was handed over to internal affairs which then provided it to the sheriff's office. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1 PM ET - The first of three jail officers faces questions from Casey Anthony's lawyers. At least one of the Orange County corrections officers who will be grilled today was with tot mom the day she watched live TV coverage of the discovery of Caylee's remains. A private investigator working for George and Cindy Anthony on a volunteer basis will also give sworn testimony this afternoon. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

7:15 PM ET - Here's a schedule of tomorrow's depositions by tot mom Casey Anthony's lawyers. 3 Orange County jail officers and the Anthonys' private investigator are all set to give sworn testimony. The corrections officers will give testimony under oath at 11AM, 1PM, and 2PM. Private investigator James Hoover will have questioning at 3PM. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5 PM ET - Casey Anthony's childhood friend was grilled by the tot mom's lawyers today as part of a week-long series of depositions. Kiomarie Cruz allegedly sold her story to the tabloids claiming she and Casey Anthony used to bury their dead pets and spent a lot of time at the same woods where Caylee's remains were discovered. The same information was reportedly passed on to police. You may remember Cruz is the same friend who previously told cops Casey Anthony wanted to give Caylee up for adoption. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

NOON ET - Tot mom Casey Anthony's lawyer has been shut down by a Florida judge on his motion to have a private hearing in chambers. Jose Baez wanted the meeting to go on without prosecutors, the media, or the public present in order to discuss, according to Baez, a "sensitive matter" regarding tot mom's defense. Baez says he doesn't want the defense's strategy for trial revealed. But just moments ago, Circuit Judge Stan Strickland rules no legal authority has been provided in the defendant's motion to allow for the private meeting. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday, March 31, 2009

3:30 PM ET - Just in -- Tot mom's lead defense attorney, Jose Baez, will depose jail sergeant Dennis Moonsammy at 4:00pm today. Moonsammy may just be one the supervisors at Casey Anthony's jail who allegedly witnessed her reaction when the discovery of Caylee's body was announced back in December. Reports previously released allege the tot mom doubled over and asked for medications. How will the account of Casey Anthony's reaction impact her murder trial? (From Ben Monie, Nancy Grace Producer)

2:50 PM ET - A report just released claims George, Cindy and Lee Anthony may soon visit tot mom Casey Anthony in jail. According to CNN affiliate WESH, the Anthonys asked permission to gather with the tot mom in order to hold a "family requiem of sorts" for little Caylee. A WESH source reportedly close to the family says the wheels are in motion for this particular meeting, so the Anthonys can mourn together for a short while. If this is the case, it will be the first time since August 14th that George and Cindy Anthony have visited their daughter behind bars. (From Ben Monie, Nancy Grace Producer)

Monday, March 30, 2009

5 PM ET - Casey Anthony's defense team announces they will depose two of the tot mom's close friends, as well as two Sheriff's deputies and four Orange Co. jail officers. The announcement comes after reports released allege Casey Anthony doubled over and asked for medication upon learning of the discovery of Caylee's body. The tot mom's close friends could also pose a problem for the defense amidst their claims that Casey Anthony consistently lied and one who told police Casey Anthony wanted to give Caylee up for adoption during her pregnancy. (From Ben Monie, Nancy Grace Producer)

Friday, March 27, 2009

2 PM ET - Next week may be a crucial one for Casey Anthony's defense, as attorney Jose Baez plans to depose one of her best friends, several sheriff's deputies and four Orange County Jail employees. Friend Amy Huizenga has already told investigators about the suspicious smell in Anthony's car that she claimed was from a dead animal and about her partying lifestyle, but it remains to be seen whether she has anything to say that could help the defense's case. Other upcoming depositions will focus on deputies involved in the search for Caylee Anthony, including one who investigated an August tip from Roy Kronk in the same area where Kronk would later discover Caylee's remains, and jail staffers whose answers could potentially address Baez's concerns about what he has argued are violations of attorney-client privilege in the facility. It is not known, however, what the attorney's line of questioning for these witnesses will be or how their depositions will impact the defense strategy as the case moves toward the trial.(Stephen Loiaconi, Nancy Grace Researcher)

1 PM ET - Hundreds of pages of new discovery documents are expected next week in the murder case against Casey Anthony. The state attorney's office says it is currently preparing another large batch of documents for release to the media. We'll have more details on what those documents contain and what they mean for the prosecution and the defense as soon as they're available. (Stephen Loiaconi, Nancy Grace Researcher)

Thursday, March 26, 2009

5 PM ET - Casey Anthony continues to seek ways to dodge questions from attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez. Her civil attorney Jonathan Kasen has now filed a motion asking for a protective order that would spare her from having to respond to any of the approximately 30 items in a questionnaire submitted by Gonzalez's attorneys in her defamation case. In the motion, Kasen argues that all of the questions being posed to his client such as "Do you know who killed Caylee?" and "Were you involved in the death of Caylee?" are "inextricably intertwined" with her first-degree murder case, and it would violate her right against self-incrimination for a judge to force her to answer them, as Gonzalez's attorneys have requested. Kasen alleges that these questions are meant only to "harass, embarrass and, most importantly, incriminate" Casey Anthony, who he states told detectives months ago that the plaintiff is not the woman she claimed had taken her child. Lee Anthony has also stated in his deposition that the Zenaida Gonzalez who filed the lawsuit is not the mysterious nanny his sister has described. Kasen wants the judge to halt Gonzalez's attorneys' efforts to get answers while the criminal case is pending. A hearing date for the new motion has not been set. (Stephen Loiaconi, Nancy Grace Researcher)

3PM ET - What was private investigator Dominic Casey really doing in November when he visited the wooded area where Caylee Anthony's remains would later be discovered? In a January statement to authorities, he said he was trying to confirm that it was a local teen hangout and that a psychic suggested he go there, but according to the man who made the trip with him, he may have been following a tip from someone much closer to the case. In a three-hour deposition yesterday in the civil case against Casey Anthony, private investigator Jim Hoover stated under oath that Dominic Casey, who was working for the Anthonys, asked Hoover to accompany him to that area "to find Caylee's body." Hoover whose videotape of their search was made public in January said he didn't know where the tip came from, but he speculated it might even have come from Casey Anthony's brother Lee. (Stephen Loiaconi, Nancy Grace Researcher)

Noon ET - Some of the details provided to authorities by private investigator Dominic Casey will stay sealed after Judge Stan Strickland ruled late yesterday that a transcript of Casey's second statement, dated January 7, 2009, will not be released to the public. In his order, Strickland concluded that the statement contains communications that qualify as "work product" and are therefore privileged and will not be admissible at trial. Strickland also noted that the sealed statement is 13 pages long and essentially covers only one subject, though what that subject was remains unknown.(Stephen Loiaconi, Nancy Grace Researcher)

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

5:30 PM ET - While Casey Anthony appeared in an Orlando courtroom for a hearing related to her murder trial, depositions continued in the Zenaida Gonzalez civil suit. Private investigators Dominic Casey and Jim Hoover who both worked for the Anthony family were supposed to be deposed today, but only Jim Hoover's deposition took place. The deposition was recorded and we'll have full coverage tonight. (From Clark Goldband, Nancy Grace Producer)

4:45 PM ET - Casey Anthony was back in court today as Judge Stan Strickland ruled there's no conflict of interest over how Anthony's defense team is being paid. Anthony was forced to speak at the hearing to confirm that she has no agreement with her attorneys for them to sell her or Caylee's story. The hearing was called because prosecutors wanted to know how an unemployed 23 year old can pay for renowned lawyers and scientific experts. Lasting about 30 minutes, the hearing even spilled out of court into the judge's chambers for a 5 minute private tête-à-tête between Strickland and the attorneys. 4 PM ET - Two private investigators, who had worked for the Anthony family at one point, are set to be deposed this week in the defamation lawsuit filed by the alleged babysitter Zenaida Gonzalez. On Wednesday, James Hoover and Dominic Casey will face questions from Gonzalez's attorneys, who have already deposed Lee Anthony and Deputy Richard Cain, who was at the remains site back in August to investigate a tip. Dominic Casey was also at the remains site before the remains were found, claiming he was following up on a tip from a psychic. Tot Mom Casey Anthony is being sued by Gonzalez for defamation, claiming tot mom's false claims have damaged her name and her ability to support her family. Grandparents George and Cindy Anthony are scheduled for depositions in early April.

Fri., March 20, 2009

3 PM ET - Among the evidence inside just released police investigative documents, we learn more about a Dora the Explorer backpack taken into evidence from Casey Anthony's car. Inside the backpack, investigators found a violet light-color comb, a toothbrush, toothpaste, 2 pull-up diapers and wipes. The backpack processed for fingerprints and swab samples taken. Investigators also did additional inspections in the forensics garage on tot mom's car before moving it to the evidence unit. The entire trunk was vacuumed and the vacuum's filter was submitted for evidence. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2:15 PM ET - More from the investigative documents just released by the State. Grandmother Cindy Anthony's co-workers say she did mention the smell of death in tot mom Casey Anthony's car the day they picked up the vehicle from the towing yard. When urged to call police, Cindy said she wanted to give daughter Casey Anthony a chance to explain. Cindy Anthony would eventually go on to make frantic calls to 911 reporting little Caylee Anthony missing. We know Casey Anthony is accused of stealing money from her own grandparents, but Anthony's grandmother reveals she used their stolen money to pay for Caylee's 2nd birthday celebration. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1 PM ET - More of tot mom Casey Anthony's lies emerge in hundreds of documents just released by prosecutors. Not only do friends say Casey Anthony smoked marijuana, but apparently tot mom lied to friends about missing Caylee's whereabouts. When asked where missing Caylee is, tot mom tells friend/roommate Cameron Campina her little girl was at a birthday party for a 3 year old friend in Cocoa Beach. And we hear more about Casey Anthony's lies concerning Caylee's biological father. Tot mom tells a friend Jesse Grund is her little girl's dad but changes her story saying the dad is actually a man named Josh she had a one night stand with, who later dies in a car crash. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

11 AM ET - New documents just released in the Caylee Anthony murder case. They include interviews with the Anthony's private investigator, Casey Anthony's friends and Cindy Anthony's co-workers, plus forensic reports and evidence forms. We'll bring you more details shortly. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thurs., March 19, 2009

3:30 PM ET - The State's attorney just reveals to us that new discovery set for release will not include the investigative materials prosecutors turned over to the defense this week. Among the materials are videos of the Anthony's private investigator, 3-D images from the crime scene and emails. Standby for more details on just what prosecutors will release to the public. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1:15 PM ET - Casey Anthony turns 23 years old today, but there will be no wild parties or a birthday cake to celebrate. Instead tot mom sits alone her tiny, private jail cell with no visits from friends or family. But Caylee Anthony never made it to her 3rd birthday, even as her grandparents celebrated the toddler's birthday not knowing her tiny skeleton would be discovered less than a mile away. Meanwhile, the defense is sifting through new discovery, including emails between Oak Ridge lab and detectives, plus videos of the Anthony's private eye digging around the woods where a meter reader found Caylee's remains. Also set to be released 3-D images of the crime scene. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Wed., March 18, 2009

7 PM ET - WESH is reporting the owner of the land where Caylee Anthony's remains were discovered has put it up for sale. The land is less than a mile from the Anthonys' home and was just placed on the market by the owner, a resident of Winter Park, Florida. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5 PM ET - The State reportedly turns over more investigative materials to tot mom Casey Anthony's defense team. Among the items, emails from Oak Ridge lab and a detective working the case, videos shot by a private investigator and a photo of a child's T-shirt. Will these documents and videos be among the discovery the State will release to us on Friday? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2:30 PM ET - More documents set to emerge in the Caylee Anthony murder case. We've just learned from the State's attorney office, prosecutors will release new discovery on Friday. And of course, we'll bring you all the details as soon as we get the new documents. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

4 PM ET - We've just learned tomorrow's hearing in the Zenaida Gonzalez defamation case has been canceled. Why? After convincing a judge they were too emotional to testify under oath, George and Cindy Anthony agree to give sworn testimony after all. It all goes down April 9 and just like Lee Anthony's will be on videotape! George Anthony set to go first at 10:30am, then Cindy Anthony will give her testimony at 1:30pm. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3 PM ET - We've just obtained discovery documents confirming there was DNA testing done to prove Lee Anthony is not Caylee's father. And the results confirm Lee Anthony is not the daddy. We are now combing through over 60 pages of discovery and will bring your more details shortly. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - A court hearing is set for Wednesday at 3pm in the defamation lawsuit by Zenaida Gonzalez against tot mom Casey Anthony. According to a court spokesperson, the hearing is a continuation of the defendant's motion for protective order. When her little girl, Caylee, was finally reported missing, Casey Anthony claimed the so-called nanny Zenaida kidnapped the 2 year old. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Monday, March 16, 2009

6:30 PM ET - While defense lawyers fight to keep jailhouse video of Casey Anthony private, they also reportedly want a videotaped statement from a corrections officer at the jail kept secret. WKMG reports the correction officer mentioned in defense attorney Jose Baez' motion to keep those jail videos private, is the same officer with tot mom the day she watches TV coverage of the discovery of Caylee's remains. Baez also alleges the officer is discussing Casey Anthony's medical history and tot mom's reaction to what was happening in the woods near Anthony's home. Reports reveal Casey Anthony doubles over, hyperventilates and asks for anti-anxiety medication the day Caylee's remains were found. If the tapes are not released to the public, will they still be admissible at trial? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5:30 PM ET - We've just heard from Zenaida Gonzalez' attorney, now that Lee Anthony's lawyer files a motion refusing to answer questions identifying Caylee's biological father. According to John Morgan, it is a relevant question because "if we prove who did murder this child, then we can prove who did not. And in that way, we can prove defamation." Still waiting on a possible hearing date concerning this matter. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3:00 PM ET - Casey Anthony's brother reportedly does not want to answer questions about who is Caylee's biological father and if he believes his sister was involved in Caylee's disappearance. After refusing to answer the questions during videotaped testimony, attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez asked a court to force Lee Anthony to respond. But now Anthony's lawyers are fighting back in a court response of their own, saying the question is irrelevant and only out there to embarrass and annoy the Anthony family. Lee Anthony's response reportedly just filed moments ago. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Friday, March 13, 2009

5:30 PM ET - The tot mom's defense team does not want video of attorney Jose Baez meeting with Casey Anthony shortly after the remains of Caylee were found December 11. Sources say Baez is seen on the video crying while he meets with his client. Baez denies the claim and filed an emergency motion yesterday trying to stop the tape from being released! Also today, the deputy who went out to the remains site on August 13 to investigate meter reader Roy Kronk's tip, was deposed by the tot mom's defense team. Deputy Richard Cain, who has already faced disciplinary action for the incident, claims that he found only trash when he looked at the suspicious bag that Kronk saw. The skeletal remains were found months later in the same wooded area. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday, March 12, 2009

6 PM ET - A crime scene investigator who processed tot mom Casey Anthony's car is now on the stand being questioned by defense attorney Jose Baez. It's a no-go on the release of George Anthony's suicide note. Florida Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland just grants a motion by George and Cindy Anthony's lawyer to keep the suicide letter private. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3:30 PM ET - Change below: Casey Anthony has just arrived in court wearing a cream-colored cardigan with a lavender shirt underneath, grey slacks and her hair pulled back in a ponytail. Tot mom laughed and smiled with her attorneys prior to the judge's arrival. Court is officially underway, we will bring you more details as they become available. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - It looks as if George and Cindy Anthony will be front and center at today's tot mom court hearing. The Anthonys have just arrived with their attorney, Brad Conway, presumably to fight to keep George Anthony's suicide note private. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

NOON ET - In about two hours, tot mom Casey Anthony will be back inside a Florida courtroom. Several motions on the docket, including the suicide note discovered in George Anthony's car the day he was found isolated inside a Daytona Beach motel room. In that letter, George Anthony said he wanted to end his life and be with his granddaughter, Caylee. Now the Anthonys are fighting to keep that suicide note from being released on the grounds it is not connected to the murder case. Also today, the defense is set to argue that prosecutors have been withholding evidence, even though thousands of pages of discovery have already been released. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

4:15 PM ET - Tot mom Casey Anthony will make her next appearance in court tomorrow afternoon. At issue a series of motions including a defense request for sanctions against the State. We will bring you all the details from inside that Florida courtroom. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1:30 PM ET - Who's Caylee's daddy? The issue is back in a court motion just filed by attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez. During brother Lee Anthony's videotaped testimony on February 27, his lawyer would not allow him to answer that question. According to the motion by Gonzalez' attorney, no privilege applies to the question and they want the court to force Lee Anthony to respond. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

NOON ET - Our sources reveal Casey Anthony and her lawyer cried together behind bars the day Caylee's remains were discovered. The entire thing caught on video and now the defense will fight to stop that tape from being released. Also at issue? A jailhouse video of tot mom reacting to the news at the jail's medical unit. Casey Anthony reportedly doubles over, hyperventilates and asks for medication. Will these tapes be released, and more important, will they be admissible at trial? The defense says the jailhouse recordings were unauthorized, but jail officials confirm cameras are always rolling at the jail, with no audio, including the area where Jose Baez often meets with Casey Anthony. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

6 PM ET - It's getting heated...tot mom Casey Anthony herself is lashing out at the State's motion demanding to know how she's paying for all those high-priced lawyers and experts. In her own handwriting Casey Anthony says "I believe Mr. Ashton is angry because I have refused to take a plea agreement for a crime I DID NOT commit". Yes, she actually did capitalize the words "did not". It's interesting that Casey Anthony is entering a handwritten response to the State's motion volunteering that she is not responsible for Caylee's death, but refuses to answer similar questions under oath from Zenaida Gonzalez' attorney about Caylee's death. Also included in today's defense response, are allegations tot mom was secretly recorded behind bars during private meetings with her lawyers. A hearing has yet to be set on this matter. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5 PM ET - We are still waiting for defense attorney Jose Baez' response to a State motion demanding to know how tot mom Casey Anthony is bankrolling her expensive defense team. According to a spokesperson, a defense response will be filed shortly and we will bring you details as soon as we get them. Meantime, the clock is ticking down to Casey Anthony's next court appearance set in less than 48 hours. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3 PM ET - It seems more and more people are trying to profit off the murder of 2 year old Florida girl, Caylee Anthony. The Internet is loaded with website after website hawking all kinds of items connected to the murder case. Here are a few items we've found so far: a $4.20 bumper sticker backing the death penalty for tot mom Casey Anthony, anti-Casey Anthony t-shirts, including shirts blasting the so-called "nanny" theory, magnets and stuffed animals. And of course, who can forget the Caylee doll. The company's president was recently on our show to defend the doll, but backs down on selling the toy after the public's outrage. It turns out, they're back at it, this time selling the doll for $79, on the grounds they are "turning tragedy into a lifesaving tribute". (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Monday, March 9, 2009

7 PM ET - We just got our hands on the new motion by the State demanding to know how Casey Anthony is paying for her eight-deep, expensive, defense team. The motion says certain conclusions must be drawn because tot mom's "seeming conversion from pauper to princess did not come from the sale of some tangible asset available to her prior to her initial arrest on charges related to this case. The only asset that appears available to the Defendant is her story or otherwise valueless items, such as photographs or video tapes, which have value only because of her story." The State is trying to offset any potential for an appeal should tot mom be convicted for murder. Lead defense lawyer Jose Baez is set to file a response shortly. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5:30 PM ET - We finally may learn just how tot mom Casey Anthony is paying for her high-profile and very expensive defense team. The state reportedly now wants a special court hearing to find out on the record. According to WFTV, Prosecutors believe pending financial agreements, such as book or movie deals, could be grounds for appeal should tot mom be convicted. The State wants the defense to show every document related to financial deals involving Casey Anthony and/or anyone representing her. Reports are personal photos have been lucrative for the tot mom as well as home video of little Caylee that went for $200,000. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Noon ET - New videos surface on YouTube showing Casey Anthony in happier times with her little girl Caylee. Various videos show mother and daughter playing around and laughing in front of the camera and the tot mom becoming the videographer as she films her little girl playing. Experts say the videos could be used to show tot mom in a motherly, positive, and loving light all ahead of her murder one trial. The videos were reportedly posted on Casey Anthony's various web accounts several months ago. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Friday, March 6, 2009

1 p.m. ET - New documents just released by the State reveal what tot mom Casey Anthony had to say to investigators the day she was indicted on murder one. After switching cars, forcing police to chase her, tot mom explains she was not running, but just trying to avoid TV cameras. The arrest is the first time Casey Anthony knows she's formally facing murder charges, but she seems unfazed, even laughing with detectives as they question her and read her rights. Casey Anthony goes on to say she does want to cooperate, but not if police are trying to get a confession out of her. The newest member of Casey Anthony's defense team says besides "junk science", there is no evidence in the case and the tot mom should not even be in jail now. But it appears the evidence keeps mounting against Casey Anthony, more discovery is sure to come. The defense team at least eight-deep, but who's paying for all these high-profile and expensive lawyers and experts (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday, March 5, 2009

2:30 p.m. ET - Did George and Cindy Anthony dine on crab puffs, sliced steak and fried tomatoes at a fancy hotel the day cops recovered Caylee's remains? According to police interviews with a private eye, the Anthonys checked into a Ritz-Carlton while investigators worked the scene. The PI says George and Cindy Anthony also said they support daughter Casey and felt like they had thrown her under the bus. According to the P.I., before George Anthony's suicide attempt in January, Caylee's grandfather talked about taking his life back in September. The private eye also goes into details about the day he videos George and Cindy's private investigator digging through the woods near the Anthony home...the same woods where weeks later a meter reader would find Caylee's remains. Casey Anthony's ex Tony Lazarro also tells cops the tot mom shed a lot more tears the day he told her he was moving, than when she watched home video of her little 2 year old girl after Caylee goes missing. In fact, Lazarro's description of the way Casey was crying amounts to crocodile tears. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1:30 p.m. ET - Bombshell discovery documents just released reveal the Florida Department of Law Enforcement travels all over the Sunshine State following up on tips and possible sightings of little Caylee. Some of their destinations? Lakeland, Port Orange, Jacksonville and Boynton Beach. Investigators even spoke with a 77-year-old Zenaida Gonzalez in Aventura, Florida. One of Casey Anthony's ex-boyfriends goes undercover for the Orange County Sheriff's Office, agreeing to have his phone wiretapped in the event tot mom tried to contact him and also to help catch Casey Anthony's brother Lee on secret video and audiotape. We also see more of Casey Anthony's cell phone records and text messages, specifically right before and after the time Caylee goes missing. There are no calls or texts from the so-called nanny Zenaida Gonzalez. And, revealing photos from tot mom's personal web accounts contain disturbing images of skulls and skeletons. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Noon ET - A new batch of discovery is coming out in the Caylee Anthony murder case. Expected are new video, photos, cell phone records, interviews, and audio of a meeting between Casey Anthony's ex-lover Tony Lazarro and brother Lee Anthony. We will bring you more details as soon as we get our hands on the documents. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

6 PM ET - Could tot mom Casey Anthony face the death penalty after all? As of now the State says it is going forward as planned, that is not seeking the DP at this time, but prosecutors tell us they have up until jury selection starts to change their mind. And more details about Grandfather George Anthony's suicide note. The Anthonys fighting to keep the suicide letter private citing it is irrelevant to the case. But the State's Attorney Office says in order for that suicide note to have become part of the discovery in the first place, authorities would have to have reason to believe it is relevant to tot mom's murder case. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5 PM ET - It looks like Casey Anthony will be back in court soon. A heading set for next Thursday, March 12, to hear a series of motions in the tot mom's murder case. Among the motions, the defense wants sanctions against the State for allegedly holding back evidence and the Anthonys' lawyer wants to keep George Anthony's suicide note private. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3:30 PM ET - Will we finally see George Anthony's suicide note? The Anthonys' lawyer files a motion to keep the letter from being released, citing the note has no connection to Casey Anthony's murder case. The 5 page letter discovered in George Anthony's car in January after he was located at a Daytona Beach motel hours after threatening suicide. According to the motion, the suicide letter contains very personal information intended solely for his wife and children and was used to Baker Act George Anthony to keep him hospitalized for psychiatric care. Meantime, reports are the defense has yet to pick up a secretly recorded jailhouse video of Casey Anthony's reaction to the discovery of Caylee's remains. Tot mom's defense given a chance to look at the video first before a judge decides on whether to release it. And we just received Casey Anthony's response to questions from Zenaida Gonzalez' attorney. Casey Anthony takes the Fifth for a majority of the questions, but she did answer two: state your name and were you involved in the death of Caylee? Her response? "Casey Anthony and the defendant would object to the question and would move to strike it. This question is being brought solely to embarrass, harass and brought in an attempt to implicate the Defendant in an on-going criminal prosecution for First Degree Murder. The question is without merit and wholly improper". It's interesting that Casey Anthony lashes out at this question instead of just taking the Fifth like she did with everything else. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday, March 3, 2009:

3:15 PM ET - According to WESH, prosecutors have no plans to seek the death penalty against tot mom Casey Anthony. The state's attorney says they are preparing for trial as charged. Casey Anthony is facing the possibility of life on murder one charges. And we are awaiting the release of hundreds, possibly thousands, of new photos of the tot mom. A judge signs off on an order to release the photos discovered on the tot mom's various web accounts. The defense was fighting to keep the pictures from going public because they say they are embarrassing and irrelevant to the case. But will we see the jailhouse video of Casey Anthony's reaction to the discovery of Caylee's remains? The defense will have a chance to review the video first, but the judge has yet to decide if it will be released to the public. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Monday, March 2, 2009

5:45 PM ET - Florida judge Stan Strickland shuts down the release of jailhouse video of tot mom Casey Anthony's reaction to news coverage of the discovery of her little girl's remains...at least for now. A judge ruling the defense will have a chance to see the video first. Reports are the tot mom doubles over, hyperventilates and asks for anti-anxiety meds after learning the remains of a small child found near the Anthony home. And it's all caught on jailhouse video. Also it looks like Casey Anthony will face trial for murder charges in the fall. The judge tentatively sets an October 12 date for trial. But still no word on change of venue. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5:15 PM ET - We've just learned at today's hearing from defense attorney Jose Baez that some of the Casey Anthony party photos, set to be released as part of discovery, have never been out in public. Baez says Anthony had several photobucket accounts and a majority of the pictures have not been released. And after missing their daughter's last court hearing and convincing a judge to not make them testify under oath at a civil deposition last week, George and Cindy Anthony make an appearance at today's hearing. Casey Anthony is in court listening attentively in a blue button down shirt, gray slacks and of course, ankle shackles. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3:30 PM ET - In about an hour from now, Casey Anthony will be back inside a Florida courtroom. Her defense team wants to stop stunning photos of tot mom partying and dancing at a local nightclub, just days after little Caylee goes missing, from being released. Casey Anthony caught on camera at Fusion nightclub reportedly the night of the club's "hot body" contest. Anthony is seen laughing and smiling as she parties the night away, but the entire time her little girl, Caylee, is missing. The defense is also trying to stop the possible release of jailhouse video on December 11, of tot mom's reaction to the discovery of a child's remains near her home. Reports are that Casey Anthony doubles over, hyperventilates, and asks for medication when she's shown news coverage of the horrific scene. Word is the Orange County Sheriff's Office asked the jail to record Casey Anthony's reaction. The defense pulling out all the stops to keep the photos and video from being released because all bets are it's not going to show Casey Anthony in the best light. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Friday, Feb. 27, 2009

4 PM ET - Bombshell testimony from Casey Anthony's brother today! It appears there's more to Casey Anthony's story concerning Caylee's alleged kidnapped from Sawgrass apartments. According to Lee Anthony, tot mom says she lied to police about the kidnapping location because Zenaida threatened her & her family. Lee Anthony says Casey Anthony claims Caylee was really kidnapped from local Blanchard Park, and says she did not put up a fight during the abduction because it was "surreal". Lee Anthony says they never told police this detail because they assumed investigators already knew about it. Also we learn, tot mom claims to brother Lee she was getting text messages and MySpace messages from Zenaida forcing her to go to different locations. But searches on the Anthonys' computer for these messages came up blank. Lee Anthony is confident if he could spend 1 hour alone with his sister, he would be able to get the truth out of her. And it looks like the Anthonys maintain that Zenaida did kidnap Caylee but it's not the Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez who filed the defamation lawsuit. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1 PM ET - We've just gotten word the video of Lee Anthony's deposition, taking place just moments ago, will be released once it's filed with the court. Standby for details from the transcript and the videotape. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

12:45 PM ET - Lee Anthony did show up after all to give testimony under oath, but the media was not allowed inside the offices of Zenaida Gonzalez' attorney to observe the deposition. However Lee Anthony's testimony was captured on video and reports are it may be released. George and Cindy Anthony were set to answer similar questions concerning the so-called "nanny" who kidnapped Caylee, but a judge gives them at least a 20 day pass to review their medical records. Caylee's grandparents convincing the judge they are too emotional at this time to testify under oath. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009

1:30 PM ET - We are less than 24 hours away from the deposition of brother Lee Anthony as part of the defamation lawsuit filed by the alleged babysitter Zenaida Gonzalez. The attorneys for grandparents George and Cindy Anthony was successfully able to get their scheduled depositions delayed, saying George and Cindy are too emotionally fragile to answer questions right now. The judge gave attorney Brad Conway 20 days to present medical records of the Anthonys to show how they are not able to testify under oath right now. A battle is also being waged over whether the media will be allowed to attend the depositions, with the judge asking the media outlets to prepare their briefs for why they should not be banned from the depositions. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009

4 PM ET - Moments ago, we learn tomorrow's testimony by the Anthony family is a no-go. A judge postponing those depositions for at least 20 days, set to review George and Cindy Anthony's medical notes from doctors. The Anthonys' attorney arguing they are too in distress to testify under oath. The judge will also consider whether the depositions should be open to news outlets.
(From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3 PM ET - An emergency hearing is underway in a Florida courtroom, where George and Cindy Anthony's attorney is trying to stop tomorrow's testimony. It's all connected to a lawsuit by Zenaida Gonzalez. Tot mom Casey Anthony claims a so-called nanny named Zenaida kidnapped her little girl, Caylee. Gonzalez is seeking more than $15,000 in punitive damages. The Anthonys' attorney is at least requesting the sworn testimony be postponed until May, that's when a judge will determine whether Gonzalez' lawsuit has merit. Casey Anthony has filed a counter lawsuit. Lee Anthony's testimony is still set for Friday and according to his attorney, Lee knows nothing about a nanny or Zenaida Gonzalez and will testify to that. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009

4 PM ET - The meter reader who discovers Caylee's remains in a heavily wooded area near the Anthony home is threatening legal action. We've just received a letter sent by Roy Kronk's attorney to bounty hunter Leonard Padilla demanding Padilla stop the personal attacks. The letter accuses Padilla of misrepresenting Kronk as somehow being connected to tot mom Casey Anthony and her family, tipped off to the location of Caylee's remains. "You have stated that he received tips or hints as to the location of the remains and in effect have accused Mr. Kronk of being part of a conspiracy to mislead law enforcement and obstruct justice." The letter also alleges Padilla tried to contact Kronk's associates and relatives to dig up dirt on him and is causing damage to Kronk's reputation. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Monday, Feb. 23 2009

4:30 PM ET - George and Cindy Anthony's attorney says he will fight videotaped testimony. The Anthonys and Casey's brother Lee set to give sworn depositions on Thursday and Friday, all part of a lawsuit by Zenaida Gonzalez. Tot mom Casey Anthony says a Zenaida Gonzalez is the one who kidnapped little Caylee. Reports are the Anthonys' attorney will ask a judge to postpone the testimony to give the family time to recover from Caylee's death. Lee Anthony's testimony is set for Friday and his attorney says Lee Anthony will show up because he knows nothing about Zenaida Gonzalez. According to WESH, Gonzalez's attorney has some "surprise questions" for the Anthony family. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Friday, Feb. 20 2009

4:30 PM ET - Police just release the audiotaped interview of the Anthony's private investigator. Previously released transcripts reveal Dominic Casey reportedly gave detectives conflicting stories about why he was searching around the woods just weeks before Caylee's remains were found. According to WFTV, grandmother Cindy Anthony sent someone to those woods last November. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday, Feb. 19 2009

As we continue to sift through hundreds of pages of new documents just released by the State, it appears the Anthony family's private investigator gave conflicting statements to police during the course of the investigation. PI Dominic Casey was caught on video last November poking around the same woods where Caylee's remains were eventually discovered. The private investigator first said he went there to follow up on a lead from one of tot mom Casey Anthony's friends that the area was a teen hangout. But the explanation makes no sense as Casey Anthony is an adult. The Anthony's PI then told detectives he was there because a psychic called in a tip that Caylee's remains were in that heavily wooded area. And more on the mystery person on the other end of the phone the day Dominic Casey was caught on video in the woods. At one point Casey told cops he was talking to a psychic then he said he was talking to his sick daughter. On part two of the videotape, Dominic Casey pokes around for clues right next to a house. Casey told investigators he went to the area to check out a drain based on a psychic tip. But there's no sighting of Casey at that drain on the videotape. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Wednesday, Feb 18, 2009

3 PM ET - The defense is citing "junk science" to explain the droves of forensic evidence just released by the State, including duct tape and plastic bag evidence. In a statement just released, Casey Anthony's defense team is basing their theory on a two year study by National Academy of Sciences. According to the study, released today, the National Research Council finds serious deficiencies in the nation's forensic science system and calls for major reforms and new research. In other words, tot mom's co-counsel says the forensic analyses were done by law enforcement agencies with no independent oversight. The defense says their own experts will conduct an "objective analysis of this biased discovery." The defense even believes this murder case will be the one to expose flaws in evidence only tested by law enforcement. As far as the duct tape found over Caylee's mouth being similar to duct tape found on a gas can at the Anthony home, the defense says the brand of duct tape is the most widely sold in the U.S. and again says the analysis of the duct tape is also flawed. As far as fingerprints on the duct tape, lead defense attorney Jose Baez says "It is just as important to focus on the fact that there are no fingerprints on the duct tape and there never was any red sticker of any shape or size found on the tape." 12:30 PM ET - Bombshell documents just released in the Caylee Anthony murder case! Here are a few stunning highlights: Investigators narrow down time of death between June 16 and June 27 and reveal Caylee's body stored in tot mom's trunk for some time, but was removed by June 27. Apparently evidence on Caylee's remains, found discarded in 3 bags, reveal her death was NOT an accident but intentional. As of February investigators found no evidence to suggest anyone but Casey Anthony is involved in the murder of 2 year old Caylee. Some new details emerge about items of interest found near Caylee's remains in a heavily wooded area close to the Anthony home. Among the items, CSI finds a stained Winnie the Pooh blanket, a syringe, A Gatorade bottle containing an unknown liquid and white residue and pieces of a training diaper. And we finally learn what evidence investigators took from the Anthony home after Caylee's remains were found: multiple garbage bags, a steam cleaner, vacuum cleaner, a spot cleaner and a red gas can with duct tape. It turns out that duct tape is consistent with the very duct tape placed over Caylee's mouth! When Casey Anthony was told behind bars about her little girl's body, we learn she hyperventilates and asks for medication. And a former close friend of Casey Anthony's reveals in late 2006 into 2007, the tot mom was close to having a meltdown and even says she wants to go to an institution. The friendship ended because of the tot mom's lies. More details to come, but the big question now...how is tot mom Casey Anthony going to defend against this bombshell evidence? 7 PM ET - On the heels of reports that bombshell new documents are set to be released by the State, George and Cindy Anthony's attorney says he will prepare the family for what's to come inside those hundreds of pages. The documents are already in the hands of Casey Anthony's attorneys. According to sources, the evidence is not good news for the defense. The documents are reportedly said to contain evidence seized from the Anthony home shortly after the discovery of Caylee's remains. Defense attorneys Jose Baez and Linda Kenney Baden are set to release a statement once the discovery is released tomorrow morning. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4 PM ET - The Florida State's Attorney is set to release hundreds of pages of new discovery in the Caylee Anthony murder case. And according to our sources, the evidence is a bombshell! Reports emerge among the discovery is FBI lab results on the duct tape found over Caylee's mouth. Did investigators find fingerprints, and if so whose? Also, Casey Anthony's lead defense attorney Jose Baez is out of the hospital after checking himself in for a stomachache. Baez' new spokesperson says the hospital visit was not stress related. 4 PM ET - Reports are the Anthony family is still trying to work on having a private memorial for Caylee behind bars with tot mom Casey Anthony. The Anthonys want the meeting to be private, but the sheriff has ordered all jailhouse visits to be recorded. So will the Anthonys visit tot mom Casey behind bars at all? The clock also ticking down on videotaped sworn testimony from the Anthony family set in days. We are still awaiting a ruling from a judge on a motion by the tot mom's lawyer to throw out the civil lawsuit by Zenaida Gonzalez and stop the testimony. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday Feb 12, 2009

4 PM ET - Reports are that Caylee's ashes are being kept in a secret location, away from the Anthony home. According to WKMG, Caylee's remains were cremated within the last few days. The Anthony family making the tough decision based on concerns about the safety of the little girl's remains. And plans are apparently in the works for a permanent public memorial. Meantime the defense team hires a new PR person, Marti MacKenzie. One of the more notable lawyers she's represented is the attorney for astronaut Lisa Nowak. 5:30 PM ET - Just moments ago, we learn the medical examiner was notified of a request to cremate Caylee's remains. The approval was given on December 31, but as of today, still no confirmation if this has taken place. In a statement read by her lead attorney, tot mom Casey Anthony revealed Caylee's remains have been cremated. But George and Cindy Anthony's attorney says no. The medical examiner says it's out of their hands and up to the Anthonys and the funeral home as to when the cremation will take place. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4 PM ET - Does fingerprint evidence link tot mom Casey Anthony to duct tape discovered at the crime scene? The discovery of Caylee's remains revealed her mouth was sealed with duct tape and at one time had a heart-shaped sticker placed right on top. According to reports, there are fingerprints on the duct tape and the evidence directly connects to Casey Anthony. This on the heels of a public memorial for little Caylee, where the Anthony fmaily poured out their hearts in loving memory of the toddler girl. The Anthonys, especially brother Lee, adamant about standing behind Casey Anthony, directly asking the public to reserve judgement. Was Lee Anthony speaking directly to the jury pool? Here are a few summarized excerpts from what the Anthony family had to say at Caylee Anthony's public memorial today:

George Anthony: Cherished everyday that she was around each and every one of us. Friends and family that got a chance to hold her, get a chance to know who she was, to get a chance to smile at this little girl, you would know exactly how I feel right now. There's a special food that my granddaughter ate, green beans. Caylee loved vegetables. She loved green beans. That was her food. I'm also fortunate that I hope I am the one who taught her "You are my sunshine". She was my sunshine.

Lee Anthony: CMA. Each day, you continue to teach me about life and about the way it should be lived. Each day, you give me the ability to be strong or to be weak. It's been so long since I've been able to see you, to hug you or to tell you how much you mean to me. CMA, I miss you! I love you! CMA, I am so proud of you. I hope you're proud of me, too. I need you to know that I will never forget the promise that I've made to you. I will never forget.

Cindy Anthony: Hearing her call out my name and telling me how much that she loved me, talking to her on the phone. Every night, I would drive home from work and she would tell me about her day. Watching her eyes light up when her Joe Joe came into the room, hearing her talk about her uncle "E" and her aunt Mallory. Lee Anthony I've got to tell you, it is hard to stand up here and be the pillar of strength. This family is united, but this family is incomplete. I'm incomplete. I'm broken.

George Anthony: To hear her call me Joe Joe. Sure, I was grandpa, but I was Joe Joe to her. Some days when I wouldn't maybe just pay attention to her for just a second, she would get right in my face and Joe, Joe? Grandpa Joe Joe, George. She knew me. She knew how to push me to smile at her and to hug her. Cindy Anthony Mostly, mostly the things I miss is watching the love that she shared with her mother. It breaks my heart today that Casey is not with us today to honor her child whom she loved so very, very much. Casey, I hope you're able to hear me today. I love you and I wish I could comfort you right now. I wish I could take away all of your pain and wipe away your tears. I want to thank you for giving me the greatest gift that I have ever received and that is for Caylee Marie.

George Anthony: I miss that kiss on the cheek, that special hug that I tell everyone it's so great to get a hug from someone, but to get a hug from a small child, that gives me energy like you couldn't imagine.

NOON ET - A heartbreaking memorial ends just moments ago for 2 year old Florida girl Caylee Anthony. Beautiful songs, a heart-wrenching video tribute, and heartfelt speeches from grandparents George and Cindy and brother Lee Anthony as nearly 2,000 people look on at First Baptist Church in Orlando. More details to come. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

9:45 AM ET -Mourners started lining up at 4 a.m. for the Caylee Anthony public memorial at First Baptist Church in Orlando. And we finally have a glimpse into today's program: There will be a piano medley of Caylee's favorite songs, prayers, a candle lightting, video and a song written for Caylee. The Anthony family arrived in secret at about 8 a.m. Jail officials reveal so far today, tot mom Casey Anthony has not asked to watch the memorial, a memorial she's opposed to, from behind bars. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Monday Feb 9, 2009

5 PM ET - In her first statement since murder one charges and the discovery of her daughter's remains, Casey Anthony says she never wanted a public memorial for Caylee. It was Casey Anthony's wish to have a private funeral and to have Caylee buried so that she can visit her grave. But Casey Anthony says she cannot stop her parents, George and Cindy, from doing what they want. The statement read just moments ago by Jose Baez, also reveals Caylee has been cremated. Here's a part of the statement: I allowed my parents to be in charge for the funeral for Caylee. I told them I wanted her buried in a casket and I wanted there to be a gravestone so I could go and visit her. I asked them if there could only be a private funeral for just the family. Jail officials confirm there has been no request by Casey Anthony to watch the memorial behind bars. Is the tot mom protesting the public service? And we also learn Casey Anthony has a radio so she can listen to the memorial if she wants to do so in her private jail cell. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - With a public memorial just around the corner for two-year-old Florida girl Caylee Anthony, we finally have our first communication from grandmother Cindy Anthony since the discovery of Caylee's remains. Here's an excerpt from Cindy Anthony's heartfelt eulogy to the little girl: On Aug. 9, 2005, God blessed this Earth with one of his most beautiful children. Caylee Marie was born at 7:14 a.m. in an Orlando hospital. From the moment she was born she forever stole the hearts of her family. Caylee was not only a beautiful baby, but she had a beautiful spirit that will live on in those that truly knew her and loved her. Cindy Anthony also appears to be openly telling those who may have ulterior motives to stay away. This after reports emerge there could be protests at tomorrow's memorial: The family is requesting that those with only the purest of hearts and truly honorable intentions attend the service for their beloved child. This service will be a tribute to her life and a time for her family and friends to finally be together to openly express and share their love for her. The service is set for Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Orlando. Be sure to tune in at Noon ET on HLN. Nancy Grace will be live with in-depth coverage of the public memorial to little Caylee Anthony. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Friday Feb 6, 2009

2 PM ET - As we await a motion for a change of venue, the defense announces they want to keep the city where they will request the trial be moved a secret. Casey Anthony's attorney says he does not want the same amount of publicity that is now in Orlando to make its way to the requested location. And just announced: George and Cindy Anthony's family attorney will hold a press conference later this afternoon. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

11 AM ET - Casey Anthony's defense team takes to the national airwaves again. Although they say they cannot get a fair trial in Orlando because of the media coverage, Jose Baez and Linda Kenny Baden appear on NBC's Today Show insisting they will prove the tot mom is innocent. The defense lawyers even compare Casey Anthony to the lead character in the popular past-time TV show "The Fugitive" based on Sam Sheppard, the Ohio doctor convicted of murdering his wife in 1954 before his sentence was overturned. All along, Sheppard said someone else killed his wife. Does this mean the defense will go through with their theory that someone else murdered little Caylee, maybe the so-called nanny Zenaida Gonzalez? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday Feb 5, 2009

3 PM ET - Reports emerge the Anthonys' family attorney says a public memorial for Caylee is set for Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Orlando. Seating capacity is 5,000 and will be first come first serve. Heavy security is planned. Attendees will pass through metal detectors and may not bring bags, backpacks, purses, cameras or video recorders. But still no word on a funeral to lay the toddler girl to rest. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Wednesday Feb 4, 2009

1 PM ET - George Anthony is finally released from a Daytona Beach, Fla., hospital after a suicide scare. Initially it was reported that George Anthony could be at the Halifax Medical Center for up to 72 hours. But in the end, he spends 11 days under tight security undergoing treatment. It all started when Caylee's grandfather sent several text messages threatening to commit suicide to be with the toddler girl. Previously the Anthonys' family attorney said George Anthony would transfer to a treatment facility near his Orlando house, but now reports emerge Anthony is back home. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday Feb 3, 2009

3 PM ET - An attorney for Casey Anthony says the tot mom will not answer an in-depth questionnaire from the Zenaida Gonzalez connected to Sawgrass Apartments. Gonzalez has filed a defamation lawsuit, after Anthony says a nanny named Zenaida Gonzalez kidnapped Caylee. Anthony's lawyer says she will answer to her name and date of birth, but will reply to questions like, who killed Caylee, by citing her Fifth Amendment right. Not only is the tot mom involved in the defamation lawsuit, Zenaida Gonzalez wants to depose the Anthony family, including Casey Anthony's brother, Lee. And are there still plans for a secret funeral behind jailhouse walls? While the Anthonys say they want to be able to grieve Caylee's death along with Casey Anthony, jail officials reportedly say the only grieving the family could do together behind bars is by video conference. No word yet on a defense motion for change of venue for the upcoming murder trial.

Monday Feb 2, 2009

5 PM ET - Jail officials confirm they confiscated a "Caylee" bracelet during a routine search at the courthouse before tot mom Casey Anthony was given her business suit. The clothes were dropped off by lead defense attorney Jose Baez. But the jail cannot confirm whether it was Baez or mom Cindy Anthony who put the outfit together, hiding the rubber bracelet in a sock. The bracelet is white with purple lettering and says "Forever in our hearts Caylee Marie Anthony". It is considered contraband but not illegal contraband and jail officials have closed the matter. We finally have a copy of the questionnaire by Zenaida Gonzalez' attorney for tot mom Casey Anthony to answer. Here are just a few of the questions: Who else did you tell that Zenaida Gonzalez was babysitting? How many times did she babysit for you? Describe in detail what you told either of your parents about Zenaida Gonzalez and when you told them this information? Do you know who killed Caylee? Were you involved in the death of Caylee? It will be interesting to see how Casey Anthony responds.(From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - Will Casey Anthony blame the so-called nanny Zenaida Gonzalez for the murder of 2 year old Caylee Anthony? The Zenaida Gonzalez connected to Sawgrass apartments, where tot mom claims she last saw Caylee, has filed a defamation lawsuit against Casey Anthony. As part of the civil lawsuit, Casey Anthony will be asked to answer a series of written questions, including do you know who killed Caylee? And do you admit the story you told law enforcement that Caylee was with someone named Zenaida Gonzalez the last time you saw her is not true? The 5th amendment may come into play, but the attorney for Zenaida Gonzalez feels confident the tot mom will be forced to answer the questions. Just hours after the trial judge rules in their favor, Casey Anthony's defense team finally searches the heavily wooded area where Caylee's remains discovered. Reports are it's the first of several searches the defense is planning. Did lead defense attorney Jose Baez actually slip Casey Anthony a memorial "Caylee" bracelet before Friday's hearing? According to WFTV, jail officials found the bracelet tucked inside one of the socks Baez dropped off for Casey Anthony along with the business suit she wore to court. Although the bracelet is made of rubber, it's still considered contraband and was confiscated. And the first official word on a public memorial for Caylee Anthony. First Baptist Church Orlando will be the venue for the public service, but still no specifics on a date or time. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

11 AM ET - New rulings come down at today's hearing in the murder one trial of tot mom Casey Anthony. Anthony making the court appearance after a judge forces her to attend. And this time she gets out of the prison blues and into a business suit. The defense will now have access to the crime scene where Caylee's remains were discovered in a heavily wooded area near the Anthony home. But it looks like the state will stay on the case. The judge shuts down a defense motion to have prosecutors thrown off the case. More details to come. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday Jan. 29, 2009

6:30 PM ET - Casey Anthony must attend tomorrow morning's court hearing. Moments ago, a judge signs yet another order forcing the tot mom out of her jail and into the courtroom. Tomorrow morning's hearing set for 8:30AM inside an Orange County courtroom. Among the issues? The trial date status, the defense seeking access to inspect the crime scene, and the tot mom's lawyer requesting the prosecution be thrown off the case. Will George Anthony make tomorrow morning's hearing? Caylee's grandfather is still in a Daytona Beach hospital undergoing psychiatric care after a suicide scare. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Wednesday Jan. 28, 2009

4 PM ET - Has a motive for the murder of Caylee Anthony finally been revealed? According to reports, a physical confrontation between tot mom Casey Anthony and grandmother Cindy may have sparked Caylee's death. Cindy Anthony reportedly threatened to kick Casey Anthony out of the house and take little Caylee away from her. Meantime, People magazine is reporting there is a direct match between a Winnie the Pooh blanket discovered with Caylee's remains and a sheet set in Caylee's bedroom. Could this be the evidence that sends tot mom Casey Anthony to prison? The countdown begins to Friday's court hearing. Tot mom Casey Anthony is trying to get out of making an appearance, this as her attorney demands prosecutors be thrown off the case, requesting Florida's attorney general take over the trial. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday Jan. 27, 2009

4:30 PM ET - Is Casey Anthony trying to not show up in court on Friday? Her lead defense attorney just files a motion requesting the tot mom be allowed to skip out of the hearing. Attached to the motion, Casey Anthony's signature waiving her right to appear in the courtroom January 30. The move comes on the heels of a judge's order forcing Casey Anthony to appear at future court proceedings. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3 PM ET - Will there be more charges in the Caylee Anthony murder case? With tot mom Casey Anthony behind bars facing murder one, an attorney for her brother, Lee Anthony, says his client could face obstruction or evidence tampering charges. Lee Anthony has yet to receive a subpoena to testify, a clear sign according to his lawyer that the state could be considering charges. A subpoena from the state would mean anything Lee Anthony says on the stand cannot be used against him in concerning criminal charges. On last night's Nancy Grace the president of Showbiz Promotions tried to defend his company's decision to sell a Caylee inspirational doll online for $29.99. But backlash over the singing Caylee doll, which some are calling insensitive, forced the company to pull the toy. According to a company statement, "after reviewing the response to our media introduction of the Sunshine Caylee Doll and listening to the advice of the general public. We feel that is it best to suspend the launch of The Sunshine Caylee Doll." (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

6 PM ET - It looks like George Anthony may have a longer stay at a Daytona Beach hospital, where he is receiving psychiatric care. Caylee's grandfather was admitted after a suicide scare, including the discovery of a lengthy note in which he reportedly says he wants to end his life to be with Caylee. According to the family's attorney, George Anthony will remain in the hospital for another week. Local reports are he is in a lockdown ward, for security reasons because of the high profile nature of the case. After his release, George Anthony may transfer to another hospital closer to his Orlando home.(From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2 PM ET - After a suicide scare, Grandfather George Anthony will remain in a Daytona Beach, Florida, hospital. According to a family attorney, George Anthony is feeling better, but still needs time to heal over the death of his granddaughter, Caylee. There's still no word on a funeral or memorial service for the toddler girl. Anthony is set for release from Halifax Medical Center possibly this week. The prosecution files a new witness list with more than 140 people they can call to the stand for testimony. Also filing new motions today, Casey Anthony's defense attorney. The defense wants sanctions against the state for allegedly holding back evidence from 2 experts connected to the case. The murder case heads back to court this week where the judge will hear a string of motions. Tot mom Casey Anthony expected to attend now that the judge has signed off an order forcing her to appear at future court hearings. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4:30 PM ET - Another tragedy strikes today in the Caylee Anthony story. Casey Anthony's father, George Anthony, was reported missing by the family attorney. Urgent 911 calls just released say George Anthony left home with several bottles of medication & some family photos. The Anthony family became increasingly concerned when they started receiving disturbing text messages from George, reportedly saying he did not want to live anymore & he wanted to be with Caylee. Other alleged text messages sent by George Anthony said he wanted to be left alone & wanted to make sure Caylee was in God's arms. Police were able to locate George Anthony inside a motel room where they reportedly found remnants of fast food & beer, blood-pressure medication & other pill jars. Also found inside his car was a 5-page suicide letter indicating he wanted to do harm to himself. George Anthony was taken to a nearby hospital where he is currently under medical & mental evaluation. Stay tuned to Nancy Grace tonight to find out the all the latest, breaking details in the case. 3:30 PM ET - We're still combing through 300 pages of bombshell investigative documents released in the Caylee Anthony murder case. In addition to the heartbreaking detail that Caylee's mouth was covered with duct tape once bearing a heart-shaped sticker, and her remains were placed in a laundry bag and a plastic bag, we also learn a Winnie the Pooh blanket, a pair of striped shorts and a small shirt also discovered in the same bag. More of tot mom Casey Anthony's obsession with text messaging. The documents reveal several texts from friends upset with Casey Anthony and surprised she never mentioned anything about her missing toddler girl the entire month before grandmother Cindy Anthony's frantic 911 calls. Just hours after discovering Caylee's remains, investigators obtained search warrants to look for specific items at the Anthony home, including materials to make chloroform, garbage bags, duct tape, and toys found near little Caylee's remains. Reports are police even search for any Winnie the Pooh-related materials similar to the blanket found near Caylee's body. The defense filing yet another motion, seeking permission to inspect the heavily wooded area where Caylee's remains were found. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4 PM ET - More than 300 pages of investigative documents have just been released in the Casey Anthony investigation. Documents show duct tape was found around the mouth area of Caylee's skull. We're also learning investigators discovered a heart shaped sticker was "intentionally placed" on the outside of the duct tape. Furthermore, a heart shaped sticker has been recovered in the search area where Caylee was found. These are just a few of the many breaking developments in the case and we'll have full details tonight. (From Clark Goldband, Nancy Grace Producer)

5 PM ET -
Casey Anthony's defense team reportedly plans to file for a change of venue. The tot mom's lead attorney, Jose Baez, said in an interview late last week that the defense will seek to move the trial to another location. Anthony remains behind bars, charged with first-degree murder, as well as aggravated manslaughter and aggravated child abuse. A newly-released jailhouse tape from Casey Anthony shows that the tot mom viewed herself as a victim in the case and told her parents that as long as she is attacked by police in interviews she will refuse to give them any information. Anthony appears visibly frustrated when she is pressed for answers by her parents, telling them she's helped in every possible way since she was incarcerated. 6 PM ET - We've just obtained newly released jailhouse video from a visit between tot mom Casey Anthony and parents George and Cindy. Tune in tonight to see the video!

Wednesday Jan. 14, 2009

3 PM ET - The defense is beefing up its team of experts for tot mom Casey Anthony's upcoming murder trial. Renowned forensic anthropologist Dr. Scott Fairgrieve, whose expertise is in the search, recovery and analysis of skeletal remains, is now a consultant for the defense. Jose Baez previously reached out to Dr. Fairgrieve back in October concerning cadaver dogs. Meantime, the internal investigation connected to how police handled a tip last August is back in the spotlight after the utility meter reader who called in those leads spoke out on the airwaves about his frustration over the matter. An Orange County Sheriff's deputy is now under investigation for the way he responded to one of those tips by Roy Kronk. According to police, the deputy cleared the call after 25 minutes saying all he found was trash. Kronk says the officer was rude to him and did not look through the scene thoroughly. It turned out to be the same location where Caylee's remains were discovered by Kronk 4 months later. The deputy was also accused of not investigating 2 separate incidents in 2006 and 2007, but the complaints were deemed unfounded. The Orange County Sheriff's Office is expected to release his personnel file today. And it looks like the Anthonys are still standing by tot mom Casey Anthony. An email purportedly from grandmother Cindy Anthony, defends daughter Casey Anthony saying she would never hurt little Caylee. Cindy Anthony appears confident Casey Anthony's innocence will be proven. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Tuesday Jan. 13, 2009

3 PM ET - The utility meter reader who discovered Caylee's remains takes to the airwaves, speaking out. Roy Kronk says he's frustrated with how police reacted to the multiple tips he phoned in last August concerning the exact location of Caylee's body. Kronk now says no good deed goes unpunished, baffled by the public's response to his sad discovery. The meter reader says he's been vilified and maintains he had absolutely nothing to do with Caylee's murder and was never tipped off about the heavily wooded area. As a former bounty hunter, Kronk says he figured this out on his own. Meantime, it's still a mystery why back in November George and Cindy Anthony's private investigator was snooping around and frantically searching the same location where the remains were found. The "search" caught on videotape! What was the PI looking for? And why hasn't he voluntarily turned over the cell phone records to police if there is nothing to hide? Was he tipped off? Is this the big break prosecutors have been waiting for? (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Monday Jan. 12, 2009

2 PM ET - Secret video emerges of George & Cindy Anthony's private investigator poking around the same heavily wooded area where Caylee's remains were discovered. The grainy videotape, shot last November, shows P.I. Dominic Casey digging through the woods and rifling through garbage bags at an abandoned house nearby. Most of the time, Casey is seen talking on his cell phone, zeroing in on a set of concrete stones. At times, Casey even appears to be just feet from the exact location were little Caylee's skull & skeleton were found. The big question now is who was Casey talking to on the cell phone, what was he looking for, and was he tipped off? Reports say investigators are now cross referencing date and time stamps on the video with Casey's cell phone records for clues. And of course, we will play that video on our show tonight! 12:30 PM ET - An Orlando CNN Affiliate is reporting that sources close to the Anthony case say they have overwhelming evidence showing that tot mom Casey Anthony intentionally killed her daughter Caylee, and Anthony alone was responsible for the death. Investigators have now also reportedly established a timeframe of death for Caylee that dates back to June based on reports from the botanist and entomologist that visited the remains site last month. Sources say plants were growing through Caylee's skeleton and bug evidence was also recovered that helped the experts reach their conclusion. Investigators reportedly believe that Anthony left Caylee in the wooded area on June 18, after leaving Caylee in the car for a couple of days. Sources say test results conducted on the trunk of Anthony's car shows Caylee spent at least 2 days in the car before her body was dumped just yards from her own home. The Orlando station also reports that a hair found in the trunk of Anthony's car matches hair taken from Caylee's remains. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Thursday Jan. 8, 2009

5 PM ET - Tot Mom Casey Anthony is headed back to the Orange County Jail after appearing in court for a hearing today. The judge ordered Anthony to appear for a hearing about restrictions on pictures and x-rays of the remains of little Caylee. At the conclusion of the hearing the judge approved a plan that would allow the tot mom's defense team to get the images and they will hold on to them and set up a secure computer system so the defense's experts can look at the evidence. Anthony was sworn in after entering the courtroom, but said very little during the proceedings. The judge asked Anthony if she wished to waive her appearance, and she replied "yes". The judge then asked Anthony to stay for the remainder of the hearing since she was already present in the courtroom. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

3 PM ET - Breaking news! The judge in the Casey Anthony murder trial has just announced that the tot mom must appear in court, right now, for the hearing! The hearing is currently going on with both sides arguing over the discs containing x-rays and photos of the remains of Caylee. The defense argued that Casey Anthony had waived her right to appear through her attorney Jose Baez, but the judge said the only waiver he had on file was for Anthony's pre-trial appearance. Anthony should be arriving in court soon, where she is expected to be asked whether she wants to waive her right to appear. At a hearing this morning, a judge ruled that Casey Anthony will not be deposed by the attorney for Zenaida Gonzalez. After about an hour of hearing arguments, the judge ruled that only questions in writing could be submitted to Anthony. The judge said it would be a more efficient way to determine what questions were appropriate to ask. The defense has 30 days to respond once the questions to Anthony are submitted by the attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Wednesday Jan. 7, 2009

7 PM ET - The 2nd autopsy on the remains of Caylee have reportedly been completed! According to famed forensic scientist Dr. Henry Lee, the 2nd examination of the skull and bones of Caylee has been completed. The exam was conducted by another defense team member, renowned medical examiner Dr. Werner Spitz. The results of the 2nd autopsy have not yet been released. Now that the examination has been finished, private and public memorial services are expected to be scheduled by George and Cindy Anthony.

4:30 PM ET - Multiple hearings set for tomorrow at the Orange County courthouse, where the Anthony defense team will appear in both civil & criminal court to defend tot mom Casey Anthony. A morning hearing is scheduled in civil court regarding the defamation lawsuit filed against Casey Anthony by Zenaida Gonzalez. Gonzalez's attorney is seeking to depose Casey Anthony on Monday at the jail, but the tot mom's defense team is seeking to delay the scheduled deposition. The defense team is concerned that any info. gathered during the deposition in the civil case could potentially be used against the tot mom at her criminal trial. Later in the day tomorrow, Judge Strickland will hear arguments about the discs of photos & x-rays of Caylee's remains that prosecutors are refusing to turn over to the defense. The state fears that since money was made from selling the licensing rights to photos & video of Caylee when she was believed to be alive, that these images of the skull & bones will also be used to make a profit. The defense argues that preventing the defense from viewing these discs makes it very difficult for them to prepare for trial. The hearing is scheduled for 1:30pm tomorrow. 2 PM ET - Psychic Gale St. John, who had been in Orlando searching for Caylee, says she was in the same area as the meter reader, Roy Kronk, when he called police for the first time in August. St. John says she shot video of her search team looking for Caylee. The video reportedly shows St. John driving near the remains area and pulling over because the feeling she got was "overwhelming". St. John says one of the searchers and a cadaver dog got out of the car and began looking in the area, but could not go very far because of the water. St. John said she tried to get permission from the property owner to go into the wooded area to search, but was denied access. Meanwhile, there were fireworks at a hearing this morning regarding the Zenaida Gonzalez defamation lawsuit against Casey Anthony. The judge scolded Casey Anthony's defense team for personal attacks against the lawyers representing Zenaida Gonzalez, and told them to stick to the law. Gonzalez's attorneys are scheduled to depose Casey Anthony behind bars on Monday, and the defense team is seeking to delay the deposition until after the tot mom's criminal trial. The judge said he will hear arguments on the matter later this week. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Noon ET - Questions remain about two private investigators who were in the same wooded area as the remains of little Caylee about a month before the remains were even found. One of the P.I.'s was video tapingthe visit to the site, but now says he recorded over most of what was taped. What is on that tape? According to bounty hunter Leonard Padilla, these two private investigators went to the area looking for a body. Padilla claims one of the P.I.'s described to him a phone conversation he had with the other private investigator, where he is told the remains were found, and Caylee is dead. Investigators want to talk with both private investigators, while the question of whether Caylee could've been found sooner remains a mystery. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

2 PM ET - Will Lee Anthony face criminal charges? Someone who claims to be an adviser to Lee, who is the brother of Casey Anthony, told a local Orlando media outlet that the state attorney's office could seek to charge Lee with obstruction of justice or aiding and abetting. The adviser, attorney Thomas Luka, says the state could charge Lee even if it was not Lee's intention to commit a crime. Luka says that Lee Anthony had been conducting his own investigation and looking into leads for other suspects. Luka adds that the Anthony family is preparing to be called as witnesses in the case. Also today, investigators are reportedly focusing on computer searches on a computer in the Anthony home during the same time someone was searching "neck breaking" and "how to make chloroform". Computer records reportedly show someone did a Google search for "One Tree Hill's" 100th episode -- which is about a nanny kidnapping a child. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Tuesday Dec. 23, 2008

2:29 PM ET - An Orange County judge just granted an emergency motion filed by the Casey Anthony's defense team pertaining to the remains found now proven to be little Caylee Marie. The defense team was asking for photos taken at the time Caylee's remains were found, as well as x-rays that may have been taken of the remains before being removed from the bag in which they were found. The defense notes that their experts wish to conduct a second autopsy and getting these documents would assist them with that. The judge ordered that photos and x-rays shall be produced and given to the defense within 14 days, and if the state objects a hearing will be scheduled for the first week in January. 5:22 PM ET - Jessie Grund, the ex-fiancé of tot mom Casey Anthony, is speaking out tonight. Grund will be on Nancy Grace live tonight, where he will talk about his reaction to the news that the remains found were that of little Caylee Marie. In an interview this morning, Grund also talked about how Casey Anthony changed as Caylee got older, and the child that used to be the focus of Casey Anthony's life had later on become more of a responsibility. Grund had initially thought he was the father of Caylee, and was one of the first people to hold the child right after she was born, but a paternity test later proved that Grund was not the father of the toddler. At one point Grund was engaged to Casey Anthony, but the engagement was later broken off in the beginning of 2006. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

1:42 PM ET - Investigators conducted another search warrant on the Anthony home over the weekend. The search warrant was executed shortly after police finished their work at the remains site less than a half a mile away. Authorities left the home about an hour and 45 minutes later carrying boxes and bags when they left the home. George and Cindy Anthony were at the home when the search warranted was executed, with one local media outlet reporting George Anthony appeared to be visibly upset. The attorney for George and Cindy Anthony says detectives took shoes and clothing belonging to Caylee and Casey but would not elaborate further on what was taken. Meanwhile, the medical examiner's office says they are still awaiting reports from the botanist, anthropologist, and toxicologist, which are expected to arrive at a later date. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Friday Dec. 19, 2008

3:57 PM ET - At the press conference earlier today that officially confirmed the skull and other remains found to be those of little Caylee, the medical examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia gave some details about the bones recovered from the wooded area less than half a mile from the Anthony home. According to Dr. G, a "large percentage" of Caylee's skeletonized remains have been recovered by searchers at the site. Dr. G. explained how a child's skeleton has many more bones than an adult's and are not fully developed. Some of the bones that were recovered were no larger then a pebble. This could be the reason why investigators have yet to release the active crime scene, its possible they are still recovering more bones at this time. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

3:42 PM ET - The meter reader who found the remains has now been identified as 47-year-old Roy Kronk. Kronk made a short statement at a press conference just a few moments ago, briefly discussing how he notified authorities last Thursday of a bag he saw at the location where the remains were later found. Kronk, described by his attorney as a concerned citizen, did confirm that he called both the police communications center and crimeline back in August to report what he saw. Orange County authorities continue to investigate why the remains were just found last week, which have now been positively identified as those of 2 year old Caylee. Kronk thanked a number of people for their help over the last few days but refused to take questions. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

3:19 PM ET - In about 15 minutes another press conference is expected where the meter reader who found the remains is expected to speak. Authorities became aware of the remains last Thursday when the meter reader called to report he had found something in the wooded area near the Anthony home. It was revealed yesterday that this was not the first time this meter reader called police about this area, in fact he called 3 times over 4 months ago. For 3 consecutive days back in August, the 11th, 12th, and 13th, the worker called to notify authorities about what he thought was in this wooded terrain and wanted deputies to come out there and take a look. According to the Orange County Sheriff's office, deputies did come out to the location but did not find anything of interest. A spokesman with the sheriff's office says they are now investigating why the remains, now officially identified as those of little Caylee Marie Anthony, were not found back in August when the initial calls to police were made. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

3:00 PM ET - According to a spokesman for Casey Anthony's defense attorney Jose Baez, Baez was with the tot mom at the Orange County Jail when she found out the news of the remains being those of her daughter Caylee. The spokesman says Anthony was notified a short time before the news conference about the remains. The spokesman refused to comment on Anthony's reaction to the development. The Orange County Jail sent out a release a short time ago saying that the Anthony family pastor was authorized to visit Casey Anthony in jail, but Anthony refused the visit. According to the release, Anthony was meeting with one of her attorneys at the time and did not accept the visit from Pastor Thomas Shane Stutzman. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

2:37 PM ET - More notes from the press conference where it was revealed the remains are those of little Caylee: The medical examiner announced that there was no trauma to the bones prior to death, which could mean that there was no physical trauma to caylee before she was killed. Dr. G. went on to say that investigators recovered many small, underdeveloped bones and those bones were dispersed throughout the area where the remains were found. Dr. G. also spoke of how Casey Anthony was notified...the medical examiner's office notified the jail, and the jail had a chaplain come in and tell the tot mom the sad news. Caylee's grandparents George and Cindy Anthony were also called and notified of the official identification of their granddaughter. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

2:25 PM ET - According to the medical examiner, her opinion on the cause of death is homicide by undetermined means. The medical examiner said she came to that conclusion through evidence gathered at the scene, information about the body, and circumstantial evidence. The remains were completely skeletonized with no tissue whatsoever. The medical examiner says that though more remains could be found, they would not have any impact on her decision regarding cause of death. Toxicology reports have yet to be finalized. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

2:08 PM ET - Orlando medical examiner Dr. Jan Garavagila just announced the remains were identified as those of Caylee Anthony. The identification was made by a nuclear DNA match. Our team is monitoring the press conference as it continues... (From Clark Goldband, Nancy Grace Producer)

12:50 PM ET - A major announcement is expected today, as the Orange County Sheriff's office has announced they are holding a news conference early this afternoon. Reports from local media say it is there that authorities will announce the official identification of the skull and other remains found near the Anthony home. Reports say the FBI lab results on DNA found at the scene are back and will be revealed. Also later in the day, another press conference will be held where the local meter reader who found the remains is expected to appear. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Thursday Dec. 18, 2008

7:39 PM ET - Developments continue to pour out of the Orlando area as investigators work around the clock to identify remains. Now police say the meter reader who reported the remains last Thursday actually called cops 3 other times in August with tips about the same area. Investigators also say they found more "significant skeletal remains" today-1 week into the processing of this crime scene. Law enforcement originally hoped to clear the crime scene by the middle of this week-now word the search for evidence will likely continue into the weekend. (From Clark Goldband, Nancy Grace Producer)

12:50 PM ET According to reports, hair samples found in the bag containing the skull and other remains of a young child were sent to the FBI lab in Quanitco. The Sheriff's office would not confirm the claim, while they continue to search at the remains site for more evidence. A team of scientists including an anthropologist, a forensic botanist, and a forensic entomologist, have been researching the area where the remains were found in the hopes of pinpointing when the remains were left there. FBI forensic experts are working feverishly to get an official identification, with one media outlet reporting that an announcement on the ID could come at any moment. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Wednesday Dec. 17, 2008

5:45 PM ET - Investigators carrying machetes continued cutting into the wooded area this afternoon, as they have reportedly expanded their search of the area. Prosecutors met with investigators this morning to get a progress report on the search effort as they prepare for Casey Anthony's murder trial. Authorities believe they will be there at least 1 more day and continue to find more evidence. One report says FBI analysts began working to identify the remains found just yards from the Anthony home by using a tooth and hair found at the location, which is still being called an active crime scene. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

1:27 PM ET - Investigators have not yet finished their work at the site where the remains were found, which is less than half a mile from the Anthony home. According to reports, investigators found something in the home of George and Cindy Anthony that is linked to evidence found at the location where the skull and bones were discovered. A Captain with the Orange County Sheriff's Office just told our producer on scene that investigators will remain there until at least tomorrow at the earliest. Authorities continue searching through dirt and brush, looking for any additional evidence. Also today, the pastor that visited Casey Anthony yesterday spoke to a local media outlet about his meeting with the tot mom, telling them Anthony remains hopeful despite the capital murder charge against her, remains found last week, and the fact that more bones have been found since then. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Tuesday Dec. 16, 2008

4:46 PM ET - Investigators and forensic experts continue to comb the remains site for additional clues today. The Orange County Sheriff's Office says they have made significant findings at the scene, and continue to work at officially identifying the remains. According to the attorney for George and Cindy Anthony, the FBI has taken DNA and fingerprints from George, Cindy, and Lee Anthony in order to exclude them from any involvement in these remains. After the hearing today regarding the motions denied by the judge, Jose Baez spoke briefly about how his client Casey Anthony is handling the whole situation. Baez says that while Anthony "absolutely" still maintains her innocence, she's not handling the situation well. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

3:31 PM ET - Just moments ago, the judge in the Casey Anthony murder case denied motions by the defense to preserve the forensic evidence. The defense team wanted access to photos, video, and any other relevant information pertaining to the crime scene where the remains were found last week. During the hearing, an attorney representing the Orange County Sheriff's office revealed that the skull found is that of a little girl. The attorney said it while arguing that they should not have to release photographs and other information about the remains when they haven't been identified and the next of kin hasn't been officially notified. Investigators are still at the remains site today, trying to gather more evidence including any bones that may have not been initially found. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Monday Dec. 15, 2008

11:51 AM ET - As we are awaiting the official identification to come back on the remains found last week near the Anthony home, more details are emerging about what was found in the wooded area less than half a mile from where Caylee lived. According to reports, investigators found a trail of bones close to where the skull was found by a meter reader Thursday. One station is even reporting that dozens of bones were found at the site, but it is unclear if they are connected to the remains found last week believed to be Caylee. Also today, George and Cindy Anthony have returned home after investigators executed a warrant on the home and removed items that may be of interest to them. George and Cindy's new attorney says they are devastated by the news of the remains being found, but are realistic about the probability that the remains found are that of their little granddaughter Caylee. Friday Dec. 12, 2008

5:56 PM ET - The first sighting of George and Cindy Anthony since CSI removes multiple bags and boxes of evidence from their home. The Anthonys have just left their house with a suitcase and their 2 dogs. And as to be expected, they had nothing to say to media and curious onlookers. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5:38 PM ET - The medical examiner's office releases a statement regarding the remains found in a heavily wooded area near the Anthony home. According to their press release, under Florida law it's the sole responsibility of the medical examiner to ID the remains and determine cause and manner of death, but they can utilize other agencies to make those determinations and will send the remains to the FBI lab in Quantico, Virginia for further tests. The medical examiner's office also says due to the ongoing criminal investigation and in consideration of the victim's family, they will not release preliminary reports. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3:30 PM ET - More now from defense attorney Jose Baez' news conference. Baez says they are saddened by the discovery of these remains whether it is Caylee or someone else's child. As far as his client, tot mom and murder suspect Casey Anthony, Baez says she is doing the best she can. He also says grandparents George and Cindy have been attacked by numerous people and need their privacy and their space right now. Meantime, we've just received the stunning 911 call after a utility meter reader stumbles on the child's remains. Even the dispatcher sounds shocked! Police say they are convinced the remains are Caylee's because there have been no other reports of missing children in the area, the remains are consistent with a 2 or 3 year old child, and were discovered very close to the Anthony home. Speaking of the Anthony home, we also learn it has been cleared as an official crime scene and George and Cindy Anthony are free to return home. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

1:23 PM ET - Fast breaking developments today in the Caylee Anthony investigation after a child's skeletal remains discovered just yards from the Anthony home. At an emergency hearing inside a Florida courtroom today, the defense reveals they were notified that anthropological measurements and the hair color matched those of little Caylee. But a judge denied the defense's request to have their own forensic experts present during an autopsy. The State says they will notify the defense when investigators are done searching the crime scene. Back at the Anthony home, now considered a crime scene and completely surrounded with crime tape, CSI removes multiple bags and boxes of evidence. Among the items, vacuum cleaners, a pillow, and pesticide tanks. It's looking more and more likely these are the remains of Caylee Anthony. Police quickly executing a search warrant after the medical examiner found "some clues" linked to the Anthony home. Moments ago, Jose Baez held a news conference. More details from that news conference to come. Meantime, we learn Baez has added a veteran defense attorney to his team whose expertise is in forensics, Linda Kenney Baden. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday Dec. 11, 2008

5:18 PM ET - The defense just files an emergency motion concerning the remains of a small child discovered in woods near the Anthony home. The defense says if the remains are determined to be Caylee Anthony, they want their own experts present for all forensic testing, including DNA or autopsy. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4:50 PM ET - Authorities are now considering asking for a search warrant to take another look for evidence inside the Anthony home. Orange County police confirm they have cordoned off the house, which is a short distance away from where skeletal remains of a child have been discovered. The local sheriff says the Anthonys home has been secured and has the "possibility of being more of a crime scene later." Just moments ago, the county medical examiner left with the remains from a heavily wooded area where a utility worker made the shocking discovery. And now police, FBI, and forensic investigators will burn the mdinight oil processing the crime scene and working to make a positive ID. Casey Anthony's defense attorney refused to comment on the grisly discovery while leaving the local jail where tot mom Casey Anthony is in protective custody and under psychological observation. Meantime, the January 5 trial date has been delayed. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3:26 PM ET - Authorities are still surrounding the area where a utility worker found remains described as being those of a small child. The remains were found less than half a mile from the home of George and Cindy Anthony. Police have refused to disclose many details of what was found, only saying skeletal remains were found in a plastic bag and appeared to be a young child. Orlando station WFTV is reporting that the person who discovered the body picked up the plastic bag and a skull fell out, but police refuse to confirm that report. Orange County sheriff Kevin Beary told reporters that the remains will be sent to the FBI lab in Quantico, Virginia for additional forensic testing. Beary says the FBI has told the lab personnel that the results of the testing on the remains are a top priority. The area had been previously searched before, but the spot where the remains were found was flooded and underwater at the time. Sheriff Beary said no clothes were found with the remains. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

12:07 PM ET - A shocking turn of events today as skeletal remains described as being those of a small child were found very close to the Anthony family home. A meter reader found the remains at about 9:30am this morning in an area less than a half mile from the home. Early reports indicate the worker picked up a bag found at the site and a skull fell out of the bag. The FBI and Orange County authorities are on the scene and are taking time processing the remains due to poor weather conditions. Investigators say George and Cindy Anthony have been notified, and a corrections officer told Tot Mom Casey Anthony at the Orange County Jail. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Tuesday Dec. 9, 2008

3:54 PM ET - Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez appeared on the Today Show this morning, claiming Caylee is alive, and the public doesn't know the whole story. Baez says Casey Anthony is 100% innocent, and will tell the whole story in court. Baez went on to say that he is currently doing research in different media markets, trying to figure out what location is best to try the case, should he seek to change the venue. Meanwhile, the tips that Baez wants to take possession of remain in the orange county sheriff's office. A spokesman for the sheriff's office says Baez has yet to pay the copying bill for the tips, and he knew he would have to pay for them. In order for Baez to get his hands on the tips, he must pay the over 800 dollar copying fee. Caylee's grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony are expected to be in California to follow up on a caylee sighting, while the sheriff's office maintains that all evidence points to Caylee being dead and have no intention of investigating live sightings. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Monday Dec. 8, 2008

4:04 PM ET - Another attorney withdraws from the Caylee Anthony case! This time it's a member of Casey Anthony's defense team. Terence Lenamon was brought on by Jose Baez to assist in the death penalty portion of the tot mom's trial, expected to begin January 5. On Friday the State Attorney's Office announced that they will no longer be seeking the death penalty against Casey Anthony, so Lenamon assistance in the case is no longer needed. We also learn today that Caylee's grandparents George and Cindy Anthony reacted to the news that the tapes of their jailhouse meetings with their daughter Casey were released. Cindy Anthony said she actually wished the jail videos were released earlier, saying that the tapes show her daughter Casey Anthony has emotions and is not the cold, calloused person everybody paints her out to be. Cindy says the tapes show Casey Anthony to be a desperate, loving mother. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

12:18 PM ET - As we enter the 25th week of Caylee's disappearance, the Anthony family says they will no longer be holding vigils for Caylee for at least the rest of the year. George and Cindy told the local media that the church where the vigils have been held has holidays and other obligations they must fill and cannot host the Caylee vigil. George and Cindy Anthony say they are flying to California for a media interview as well as to follow up on tips about Caylee sightings. Meanwhile, the attorney for tot mom Casey Anthony wants to obtain surveillance video from local businesses that may be involved in possible caylee sightings. Jose Baez says the Anthony family needs the subpoena to help search for Caylee. (From Matthew Zarrell, Nancy Grace Associate Producer)

Friday Dec. 5, 2008

4:28 PM ET - Bombshell! We've just learned even with a first-degree murder charge, the State will NOT seek the death penalty against tot mom Casey Anthony. The State says after looking at all the facts and the law, "it is not in the best interest of the people of the State of Florida to pursue the Death Penalty as a potential sentence." (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3:13 PM ET - More from those stunning secret jailhouse video recordings of tot mom Casey Anthony behind bars. While Casey Anthony cries to her parents, George and Cindy, the running theme seems to be dodging questions about the investigation and talking about herself. Mom Casey also appears to be angry with friends and ex-lovers blaming them for twisting her words. She's also upset her former live-in boyfriend Tony Lazzaro is not visiting her in jail, pointing out a random, old school buddy even stopped by to offer his support. The tot mom says she doesn't care what she has to do to find Caylee, she would even lie and steal if she had to. Well it turns out she did lie and steal according to police. Allegedly lying about what happened to Caylee and stealing money from friends and family. Casey Anthony points out she's keeping herself distracted, laughing during visits with her attorney, sleeping, and reading to keep her mind off Caylee. But how could Casey Anthony blame her parents or her brother Lee for wanting to get to the bottom of what happened to Caylee? Doesn't she want to find her little girl as much as the rest of the family does? Back to the upcoming murder trial: reports emerge the State beefs up its witness list. 144 people now set to give testimony. And is the defense preparing for the death penalty? Word is defense attorney Jose Baez wants legal justification for the State's possible pursuit of death by lethal injection if Casey Anthony is convicted. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

Thursday Dec. 4, 2008

6:17 PM ET - We finally hear the story about how Casey Anthony found her attorney Jose Baez. During a jailhouse visit with her brother Lee, Casey Anthony says while she was in booking at the jail, a few other inmates asked her if she had a lawyer. When she said no, they suggested Jose Baez and said he was a good attorney. The next day Baez showed up at the jail and the rest is history, according to Casey. On the jailhouse tapes, it appears Lee Anthony doesn't trust Baez and thinks the defense attorney is out for himself, treating this case as business. Brother Lee says Baez told the Anthonys his first focus is Casey Anthony, his second is Caylee. A key moment in a conversation between Cindy Anthony and daughter Casey is about the so-called nanny's apartment. It seems Cindy Anthony knows something is not adding up in regards to an apartment where Caylee was previously photographed. It appears Casey Anthony told her parents the photo was taken at Zenaida's apartment. But Cindy Anthony reveals she knows it's an apartment belonging to someone else. Tot mom Casey admits it's her friend's place and when pushed as to whether she has photos of the nanny's apartment, Casey refuses to answer saying she's already discussed it with her brother Lee diverting her parents to computer discs back at the Anthony home, which might have photos of Zenaida's apartment. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

5:17 PM ET - The man who Casey Anthony once tried to convince that Caylee Anthony was his biological daughter, is being labeled as suspicious on jailhouse recordings between the tot mom and her parents. Casey Anthony demands her family stay away from Jesse Grund. As grandparents George and Cindy try to piece together clues, two co-workers from Casey Anthony's supposed work place, Universal Studios, come up, Tom Manley and Tom Frank. One never worked at Universal, the other was the name used in an alleged "fake" email discovered on Casey's computer. More on the so-called nanny. Mom Casey claims Zenaida has a car seat for Caylee as well as the baby's clothes and other belongings. Cindy even questions if Zenaida was babysitting any other kids. This time the jailhouse recordings were released by jail officials instead of the State. According to Orange County Corrections, the videotapes were released because the criminal investigative exception of the public records law was lifted by the Sheriff's office just yesterday. It appears the videotapes would have come out eventually as the State would have to release it as part of discovery. Another secret recording between Casey Anthony and her brother Lee Anthony is coming in right now. Lee is questioning Casey Anthony about her cell phone records and text messages. More to come. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4:16 PM ET - Has anyone threatened you or the family? Those words from George Anthony as he tries to find out why his baby granddaughter, Caylee, is missing. But there's no straight forward answer from Casey Anthony, concerned all her conversations are being recorded. George Anthony so desperate to find Caylee he even says the family is willing to go into protective custody to bring the little girl home. And we hear more complaints from Casey Anthony behind bars. She's angry her face is splashed all over TV and on the cover of magazines but insists all these reports and articles are not about Caylee just about her (Casey). Casey Anthony also complains she wasn't allowed to take a Bible from her mom at the jail, but she did order one from the jail commissary. Grandfather George Anthony advises her to lean on Bible verses and Casey Anthony says she always has her Bible by her side in her private jail cell. George and Casey Anthony get emotional talking about the missing little girl and how they're going to reconnect as a family when this whole thing is over and baby Caylee comes home. Father and daughter even talk about appearances by family friends on Nancy Grace, all to put attention on this case and try and bring Caylee back safe. More details to come. Meantime, we've just received another jail commissary order from Casey Anthony. This time the tot mom wants more hair care products, snacks like cheese crackers and Chex mix, Kool-Aid and lemonade. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3:33 PM ET - More from the jail videotapes: Casey Anthony blasts local detectives, saying their only concern is building a case against her. Casey Anthony reveals she's been seeing a psychiatrist behind bars, but is not revealing anything important because she doesn't trust the shrink, only her attorney Jose Baez. Breaking down in tears yet again, Casey Anthony insists when they find the toddler girl she vows to be a crazy overprotective mother and not let Caylee out of her sight again. George and Cindy Anthony throw out some theories on what they think could have happened to Caylee. The grandparents ask Casey Anthony if Caylee's disappearance is related to drugs or retaliation for a theft. We know the tot mom is accused of stealing from a string of people close to her, including a friend who Casey Anthony allegedly stole hundreds of dollars from. The tot mom says she feels guilty about stealing but says she was desperate at the time, but refuses to elaborate on why. Remember all those jailhouse menus that were released? Well Casey Anthony cracks up telling her parents she's eating coleslaw, bologna and grits. It's amazing she can crack jokes while her daughter is supposedly the victim of a kidnapping and could be in extreme danger. George and Cindy Anthony talk passionately about the community efforts to find Caylee, telling Casey Anthony the reward money is at $225,000. Casey's response? She's literally surprised it's half the amount of her bond. We're now hearing some of Casey Anthony's jailhouse visit with her brother Lee. Lee Anthony works hard to get to the bottom of Caylee's disappearance, looking desperate and completely engaged as he questions and talks to his sister. Mom Casey complains the media is too focused on all the trashy details of her life, instead of finding Caylee. But why do police keep saying it's Casey Anthony who's not cooperating in the search for little Caylee. Since all these jail interviews, Lee Anthony has gone completely MIA. We have not seen or heard a peep from him. More details from the secret jailhouse recordings to come. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

2:34 PM ET - Just released! Hours of bombshell secret jailhouse recordings between Casey Anthony, her parents George and Cindy, and her brother Lee are out. So far we see Casey Anthony cry behind bars after admitting she has not shed a tear since she's been in jail. And the tot mom even laughs and jokes with her parents. Casey Anthony still insists Caylee was kidnapped by nanny Zenaida and points her parents to North Carolina, Miami, even New York as places to look for Zenaida. Remember that description we finally got of Zenaida from Casey Anthony. Well we finally hear it in Casey Anthony's own words. An important side note: Considering all the information and evidence we know of in this case and allegations that Casey Anthony has told lie after lie, it's amazing to see her not miss a beat when she's questioned by family on very specifics details. Check back soon for more, as we are still pouring through hours of these jailhouse tapes. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

3:19 PM ET - Was there a sighting of Caylee Anthony at the Orlando International Airport just days before the toddler girl was reported missing? A woman comes forward claiming she saw little Caylee with a female passenger boarding an Airtran flight for Atlanta. The sighting was on July 2, less than 2 weeks before Cindy Anthony's frantic 911 calls to police. The tipster claims the little girl came up to her to play with the family's dog and even identified herself as Caylee Anthony when asked for her name. And says the mystery woman with the Caylee look-a-like, said the little girl was from Florida but lived in New York or New Jersey. The witness claims when she returned from that trip, the Caylee Anthony story was splashed all over the news so she called police with the sighting. But Orange County police say they've checked out the tip thoroughly and do not believe Caylee was on that flight. Authorities say all the evidence confirms the little girl is no longer alive. But the tipster says she's convinced the young girl she saw that day at the Orlando International Airport was Caylee Anthony. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)

4:53 PM ET - A bombshell announcement in the search for Caylee Anthony. Eqqusearch says they believe the toddler girl may NEVER be found. The Texas-based search team has been scouring land, air, and water for little Caylee. But after hundreds of searches for missing people, the group may have hit a dead end with this investigation. Meantime, a bounty hunter leading his own search says he will be back in Orlando, with $50,000 of new search money, to zero in on a river at a local park. We've just learned the bounty hunter plans to have a special vigil at Jay Blanchard Park for Caylee Anthony on Christmas Day. Remember the recent sighting of the little girl at a local Orlando mall the Anthony family says could be Caylee? Now they allegedly claim a third witness has come forward with a tip placing Caylee at the same mall. The Anthonys say they are keeping hope alive because no one has identified the mystery girl. Last night on our show, famed forensic scientist Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky, a consultant for the Casey Anthony defense team, says he has yet to look at any of the key forensic evidence in the case. Kobilinsky says the defense may need more time because he doesn't see how they can prepare a case in a month. His prediction? The trial will not start as planned January 5. 6:31 PM ET - Cindy Anthony says her email account has been hacked. The Anthonys claims during the Thanksgiving weekend someone got into her Yahoo account and not only was able to read confidential emails, but apparently forwarded them on to others pretending to be Cindy Anthony. This is reportedly yet another cyberspace snafu the FBI is now investigating. You may remember last week Cindy Anthony was battling allegations that surfaced after an alleged email to her former spokesperson that she gave investigators Casey Anthony's hairbrush instead of Caylee's. And, new heartbreaking photos of the little girl have been released. In one of them, Caylee Anthony is dressed up like Star Wars' Princess Lea. (From Stacey Newman, Nancy Grace Producer)
