Jennifer Westhoven is a business anchor for HLN and CNN in New York. She provides regular updates on HLN for the morning show "Morning Express with Robin Meade." She is based out of CNN's New York headquarters.
Westhoven joined CNN in May 2000 and has worked as a correspondent for CNN and CNNfn, CNN's former financial news network, covering many stories live on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). From the financial fall-out surrounding the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks to the twists and turns of the Enron scandal to the looming impact of the burgeoning Chinese economy, her updates include the latest stories from corporate America, Wall Street and personal finance.
Before joining CNN, Westhoven worked for seven years at the international news agency Reuters. In various roles there, she covered the stock market's ascent during the tech boom, interviewed top figures in the financial world including stock market analyst Abby Joseph Cohen of Goldman Sachs, Tyco's ex-CEO Dennis Kozlowski and Richard Grasso, the former head of the NYSE. She regularly covered the stock market, IPOs and breaking news from America's leading companies. Her stories have appeared in newspapers around the world, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Financial Times of London.
Westhoven earned a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science from Bryn Mawr College.
