Rodman in a frivolous moment

Rodman, the rock star?

DALLAS (CNN) -- Dennis Rodman, the eccentric star of the NBA's Chicago Bulls who recently delved into the world of professional wrestling, apparently wouldn't mind being a member of the rock group Pearl Jam. Rodman, a friend of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, made an unforgettable appearance at the band's Sunday show in Dallas. Shirtless, shoeless, and reportedly drunk, Rodman went on stage during Pearl Jam's fourth song. He then stuck around for 45 minutes, commandeering a microphone to sing on a couple of songs until the crew shut off his microphone. At one point, Vedder climbed on his shoulders and sang "Alive" as Rodman jumped across the stage.

Shakur

Judge: Shakur estate doesn't owe shooting victim

LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Overruling a lower court's decision, a judge has ruled that the estate of rapper Tupac Shakur doesn't have to pay $16.6 million to a woman who was shot and paralyzed at a concert. The Superior Court ruling, made public on Monday, said Shakur's estate doesn't have to pay Jacquelyn R. McNealey because lawyers for the estate were not allowed to present a defense. McNealey was shot in the back and left a paraplegic during a Shakur show at PJ's Private Disco in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, in 1993. An Arkansas Circuit Court judge ordered the estate to pay her last November. Shakur was shot to death in Las Vegas in September 1996.

Madonna

Pop queen Madonna angling to play London's 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof'

LONDON (CNN) -- Pop superstar Madonna is reportedly negotiating a new challenge: making her London stage debut in the role of Maggie the cat in Tennessee Williams' "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof." According to Daily Variety, Bill Kenwright confirmed Monday that negotiations were well advanced for the revival, which has been rumored in the West End for months. "I have met Madonna. Peter Hall (the play's director) has met Madonna. The three of us have a desire that she should play Maggie the cat in London next year," Kenwright was quoted as saying. The last stage production Madonna appeared in was a 1988 Broadway production of David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow." She made her last feature film appearance in the title role of the 1996 musical "Evita."

Spice Girls fail to make International Who's Who

LONDON (CNN) -- The International Who's Who, the annual list of the most powerful, influential and gifted men and women, is out, and the Spice Girls aren't on it. Richard Fitzwilliams, editor of the London-based bible of VIPs, said on Tuesday that the omission of the Spice Girls -- the five-girl band that has taken the world by storm in the past two years -- was not intended as a snub. "Personally I am an admirer of theirs. But they have had a bit of trouble with the departure of Geri (Ginger Spice)." Among those who did make the list: Prince William, Formula One motor-racing boss Bernie Ecclestone, Prime Minister Tony Blair's wife Cherie Booth, American actor George Clooney, Estonian Prime Minister Mart Silmann, Taiwan's premier Vincent Slew, racing driver Jacques Villeneuve and tennis star Martina Hingis.
