Nicole was a neighbor of mine who I talked to from time to time when she sat outside on her front steps with her roommate. They both always had their dog around and their fun cat "Jack" around them and when I would be walking by I would chat with them from time to time. She was always friendly and always having to chase her dog down. Even though I did not know Nicole very well I will miss seeing her out on those front steps with her roommate and saying "hello" as not many neighbors talk to each other here.

I was fortunate enough to have the honor and privilege of teaching Nicole in high school. She was bright, intelligent and always seemed to have a smile on her face. She was well liked by all that met her and will be missed by all that knew her. I am sure that all those who met and knew Nicole have her and her family in their prayers.

Nicole,
Thank you for the love, help and comfort that you given to friends when needed. Thank you for strengthening my faltering belief that there is heaven, as I so look forward to the day that I can say "thanks" and give you a big hug up there. Please continue to care for your friends and smile at them as they all look up and wonder why such a loving person was taken from them. I promise that your spirit will live on through the good works of others, starting with me. Thanks again for being there when a friend needed you to be. May God Bless You and your family forever and ever....the world is a better place because of you!!! GO HOKIES...WE ARE VIRGINIA TECH... WE WILL PREVAIL...NICOLE WHITE SHALL LIVE ON THRU OUR GOOD DEEDS FOREVER AND EVER!!! Posted by Ron Adamczyk of Fairfax, Virginia
I unfortunately didn't get to know Nicole that well, but towards the middle of the semester, she started coming out to our International Relations Organization at Virginia Tech (IROVT) meetings to help out with various projects. We barely knew her, but she sacrificed the better part of her weekend to drive people around, edit papers, and prepare crises for a Model UN conference we hosted in March.
Because of her hard work, she was poised to be an officer for next year, and I have no doubt she would have done an absolutely fantastic job. She made quite the impact considering I didn't know her that well. Posted by Mala Kumar of Blacksburg, Virginia
Nicole - my Colie Olie Olie ... You were one of the most amazing people I've ever known. With a huge smile and even bigger heart, you befriended almost everyone you met. Never quick to judge, you opened your arms to anyone willing to come. I will always remember our HOURS long talks, our poetry writing, our car rides to 7-11 to get slurpees, our FBI bracelets (funny.beautiful.intelligent), our endless laughter, our boy troubles, etc. You also knew who you were in Christ, and that in itself is so respectable. I love you Colie. I know God welcomed you with the widest-open arms imaginable. You always were an angel.
...And don't worry about Evan, I got his back. I've jokingly called him "Bubba" for so long. And know I'll have to really watch out for him -- help him and help all of us deal with this. We love you, Nicole. Posted by Anna Richards of Chesapeake, Virginia
Nicole was a student of mine last summer. I could tell that she was a hard working girl. At the time she had a lot going on in her life but she managed it all very well. I was proud of her for that. I hope that she used that same strenght on Monday.
God Bless You. Posted by Golnar Vaziri of Blacksburg, Virginia
I've known Nicole since we were in first grade, but we never really became close friends. Even so, she was always a positive and upbeat person whenever I saw her around, and it is just a shame that someone had to take that breath of fresh air from the world. The only good thing I can say about your tragedy is that you are in a place far away from the evils of the world the rest of us have to live through.

Nikki, Adam had mentioned in the past about hanging out with you. That you were his "longest" known friend he had at Virginia Tech and "we hung out a lot." My heart weeps for the loss of you in my son's life and in your family's life. You will not be forgotten by this family.
